Thread: Fencer vs. other combat professions.

Does anyone know how Fencer stacks up to other master combat professions? In an example of PVP, can a fencer take out a Commando or TKM? I want to know what I am able to hit and what I need to stay away from. Thanks.

Commandos can fight ??? TKM can fight in PvP ??? I must have missed big chunk of the game. Fencer is great in PvP m8 many TKMs will send you messages saying your are an A$$ after you kill them in 30 seconds, many ppl will be amazed by how much power overlooked proffession of fencer has... At least I was.

I was talking to a friend of mine who also plays the game and he said he felt Master Fencer can easily take out a Commando and a TKM because the Fencers defense is so good. I never realized that Fencer was that powerfull. I have always entertained the idea of trying to go overt and see how that changes the game but the thought of always getting your a$$ kicked does not sound fun. MaybeI should try it?

I'd say it's certainly worth the possible pummeling you'll take Fencer/Doc is a definate group support template though, so don't go out alone

fencer vs tkm is a slugging match.


they can load up every state you can, with the addition of 'stunned'.

neither of you will ever miss eachother, even if you're on aircake.


if you stack fencer with trickshot, you will very rarely be dizzy/KD - so it comes down to straight damage. and unless you have a kick-ass stun baton, his knuckles will do more damage to you, and he can do it to your mind.


of course, if you pickup a couple dots, then the advantage swings back to you


otherwise it comes down to who knows their template best, who took the right foods, etc.


it's a VERY LONG MATCH if you duel and allow for heals and full armor.


btw> i don't recommend dueling a TKM without armor. they have 20 more points of toughness than we do, so again ,youwould need a kickass gaffi or stun baton to match their AP1 knuckle dmg to your mind.



that said, in pvp, a fencer can do well. it sucks we have to rely on dots and uber weapon drops/bones to do dmg, but that's the way it is.

what if the TKM has trickshot and skilltapes/or fencer trees - or the usual TKM/DOC template?


no Dizzy KD for either of you

C'mon Jeisyn, if you Intimidate2 the TKM KD Dizzy him, and spam the /melee1hhit3; TKM will be gone in 1 minute no matter what VK he has, stun will always do more damage than 220damage VK. Plus fencer can stand up after KD much faster than TKM. So...

Not neccessarily, a fencer has 30 combat equilibrium and a Teras Kasi master has 55, so they have a better chance to stand up if they get forced to kneeling.

commando (from my experience) is absolutely horrible in pvp, and in pve it is also not that great, its mainly for killing the big giant things, like krayts, or other high HAM melee creatures that are slower than you
