Hi I am just starting Fencing Currently 0200 Brawler. Anyway I was just wondering what the consensus is for weapons with this tree. I only ask because I know other proffesions says Carbineer where the Laser is the best they got but also one of the first they get certified for. Anyway rather then spend a bunch of money trying out stuff I figured I would use the knowledge of the ones that know already. Thanks a ton all.

Experimentation is the best way.. Fencing seems to be the only truly neutral class... Everyone uses different techniques styles and weapons... Makes for a very entertaining proffession

Just try to get in touch with a fencer and be their 'apprentive' for a little while, get a few old weapons from them etc to practise with and see what appeals to you best.

Well for me, I use a gaffi stick and vibro knife because of it's low Mind cost. Being a master Doctor, the health and action cost doesnt really bother me because of the Enhance D packs.

I think if you have something you can take down quickly by yourself, go head and use the G.S. to one or two shot them. If you are fighting something big, than put on some armor and use vibroblade and spam specials. When you haven't hit speed cap, the V.B. speed and low ham will do good damage while not costing as much ham. Especially when you are in a group and you start taking heat from a big mob, put on a full set of armor(I use adv. ubese) and use your vibroblade like greased, er, buttered, lighting. I haven't found a great use for curved sword as it is not much faster than vibro, only does a little more damage, and costs MUCH more ham than vibro. Stun baton is only important when fighting hi kin armrored foes (30% or more)

Rantok I use to get the ladies. Dagger I use to pick my teeth. Stone knife I use to pose for "Neandrethal Weekly" Survival knife I use for when I need to kill a krayt dragon, that's it's only good use, TRUST ME! Oh and ryyk is a good back scratcher, nice curve and reach.

I duel without stims, but I'm able to use them at need. However if I am badly injured enough that I need them, I'm generally about to die anyway.

Health and mind costs with my curved sword just don't bother me, as long as I have time to rest. I can usually take out a 6 man squad of valarians simultaneously, that's while 2 are fighting melee and the rest firing at me from a distance, using only two stims to keep myself in the mid-level HAM zone. I think my species, trandoshan, helps my fencing alot.

get an advanced gad baton, might have to search around and custom request one from a weapon smith. you'll also want as high a quality vibroblade that you can find for doing specials at low ham. curved swords are also nice....
