Guys can someone please help me with figuiring out whether i hit the speed cap?

I am Master Brawler, Fencer 0 4 0 2, and i have several weapons with speeds that range from 1.8 for my vibroknife to 2.3 for my damage curved sword, 2.3 for my speed sliced gaffi, and speed sliced stun, and i think my damage gaffi is 2.7 but i might be 2.9

My questin is at what speed will i hit the speed cap now that i am at 0 4 0 3? I would really apprecieat the help.

Second question what mobs drop good loot any tips in that area would also be appreciated

With 0/4/0/3 fencer and master brawler, your speed mod should be +85. With that, any weapon with 6.6666 speed or less will hit speed cap on a regular attack. Depending on the speed modifier of the special you're using, you will need a faster weapon to spam specials at speed cap. For instance, if the speed mod of the special is 2, then you need a weapon with speed 3.3333 or less. If the speed modifier is 3, then you need a weapon with speed 2.2222 or less to spam specials at speed cap.

Previously there was some controvery as to how to apply the skill modifier. If you have 85+ one handed weapon speed, for basic attacks, you determine the weapon's modified speed by multiplying .85 X the weapon's speed, correct?

For example. My sword is 2.0. My Modifier is .85

2.0 X .85 = 1.7 2.0-1.7 = .3(theoretical finalspeed) BUT we are limited to a 1 sec cap, so the actual speed is not .3, but 1 sec.

Now, with a special 1 handed attackmodifier. The corrected weapon speed multiplied by that modifier would give the speed for that attack. BUT the question is, is that special modifier multiplied by the one sec speed, or the .3 second speed?

Example. As above - my attack speed,as initially determined, is .3 ( with speed cap not applied)

.3 X 2 = .6 which rounds up to 1 sec using that special attack?

OR is it that the 1 sec (rounded up from .3)is multiplied by the special attack modifier to give afinal speed of 2 seconds?

Inquiring minds need to know.

Kali,

The delay mutliplier for special attacks is applied before the cap. So your weapon, 2.0, and +85 speed, while performing a X4 delay move would be:

2.0 weapon X 4delay = 6 seconds for this weapon to perform this special under normal circumstances.

6.0 special move time with85% speed = 0.9 seconds total time to perform this move under the effects of your speed modifier.

1.0 Speed cap is applied last, and 0.9 is faster than the cap, so the final result is a 1.0 second attack.

Wait... Lyahpar, wouldn't that be 8? Not 6? 2 sec X 4 modifier?
