I just got my first fencer skill box.. and I took footwork based off of what I read in this group. However.. the attack you get at this level doesn't seem to do.. anything? I was excited so I ran over to the first ragtag kook I could find and spammed the attack on him hoping to see some neat damage.. but.. nothing happened.. he didn't take any damage while I was spamming the 1 hand health hit, but as soon as I stopped and used a normal attack the guy died in one hit. Is this a known issue.. or.. is it the way the attack is supposed to work..?

it is a bleed hit.

initially it does no damage but over time it bleeds the targets health pool. it doesnt stack with itself so as long asit hits with it then u dont need to do it again but it does stack with other health bleeds like health hit2 and health shot1 and 2

its a bleed attack. only really useful in long engagements. Nice to open with asone of the first moves. The reason you see know effect is bleed doesnt tkae effect for 15 sec then drain the damage number ever so often from their health. Also spamming wont really help other than trying to get a slightly higher bleed. Only bleeds of differentmoves eq health 1 and health 2 stack, By repeatedly using it you just having it use the largest damage from a a collection of shots.

Uh.. yeah. I guess I should listen to my roommate about these things. I'll give the attack another shot then before discounting it.

1hand health hit is just a bleed wound. Think of it as a support attack. Use it on encounters that you know are going to take you a little bit to knockdown and kill. I usually open with a bleed then go to dizzy and blind then start in with my melee combos.

If you are fighting a tough creature its possible for the bleed to knock off 800-1400 life of the creature. That's that much extra damage you don't have to dish out. Personally I can't wait to get my Health Hit2.

HealthHit 2 is lethal. I cansolo (I do have medic skills)groups of Sharpat Hunters who con white (3-4 at a time). Hit each one with a bleed..then work on them one by one.

It is also a great earlymove for PvP.

stacking Health1 and 2 is great, can bleed something for over 2k

try hitting a downed rifle using NPC with a damage sliced gaderiffi... I've gotten over 2500 point bleeds before =)
