do you have any helpful advice, mobs to hunt etc. Never reall played a brawler before so any help you could provide would be great.

What did the first one tell you to do? Chef? Squad Leader? Bio Engineer?

at first, fight whatever you can handle. it's very slow for any brawler at the start. you just can't do enough damage to rise up quickly. once you get to Novice and have a few boxes in towards fencer, it gets noticeably faster.

grouping has been my greatest benefit. i don't get as much experience per kill, but i get more kills. and it more than makes up for it.

wish i had better advice for you, sorry.

Once you hit fencing 1 it gets real fast, just buy yourself a curved sword unitl you can get your speed modifier high enough to handle a gaderiffi baton at good speed. I found killing any of the creaturesthat don't group agroyou can take missions on are the best. Womp Rats and Cu-Pa's felt my levelling wrath (and still do when I'm not out hunting with my guild on Dantooine or Dathomir).

Good advice has already been given, and it DOES get faster after you fill a few boxes. Get the bleed on the first box of the footwork tree, it really helps.

Icontracted for a complete set of Ubese armor with Enhanced kinetic resists. I got all of it sliced, about 1/2 if it sliced for HAM.The rest I sold off. This helped immensely! I can look at my combat logs and see that about 50-75% of the blows are absorbed by the armor, and that often lets me stay alive long enough to make the kill.

Grouping is essential, if fast leveling is your goal. I got 1/2 of a level 3box filed in one session (3 hours) on Dantooine last night doingpiket missions. You get credits, and if you can harvest, herby meat sells for up to 20 CPU. It's a three-way win-win.

Grouping strategy: send in thepets, and let them get the aggro first. Then move in, put a bleed on everything in sight, and if you're getting whacked, move off to recuperate. You'll still get the XP from the bleeds when the MOB dies (as long as you're within 80(?) meters.) My mates don't seem to mind, the battle goes better'causemobs are going down faster.

The Gaddi stick works VERY well on lairs - I get 3-4K per lair now even workingnext to fourCL30 pets all whacking merrily away.

The stun baton seems to work very well on Imp stormtroopers.

Good luck on your Jedi Quest!

this is all very sound advice, but i want to add something. if you position yourself correctly behind pets, you shouldn't ever get hit. to do this, you cannot use auto-follow. it's a bit slower, but you can just style away, not worry about armor and rake in even more experience.

this can also be done with your own pets, of course. everything else in Rocketjoe's post is excellent. good show.

Second implies the first told you differently, I would like to know if the first one did say something different and what so that we know if holocron's all say the same thing.

Master Fencer and Medic? That's a really nice pull, two professions that actually work well together.

Thanks Blue, now all that's left is to see if another holocron tells to master another profession once someone masters the one they were told to by the first one.
