On leveling fencer, been hard enough trying to get 70k exp for fencer4 in brawler. And i need to master fencer because the annoying random generator on holocrons told me. Anyone have tips to how to level fast? Weapons, power-ups, etc. Need some advice thanks =)

Getting one handed 4 fast. Since one-handed is quick to get at lower levels you shouldnt have any problem running around an killing Cu-Pa's they give about 400+ exp fast kills for you as a one handed 3 with a good vibro blade.

As for leveling up to master fencer expect a 1 to 2 month grind or more. Melee is one of the slowest skills to bring to bare but, when test center pulls out the modifications you will find it well worth your efforts.

Btw what race were you to get the master fencer holocron?

it's slow at first no matter what, at least for me. later, when you can do more damage and survive stronger enemies, it gets a lot faster. well, it might not get faster. but i'm having more fun, so it *seems* faster.

i have a great group of friends that i hunt with, and they make allowances for me, and i help them by taking all the hits from the rancors and bolmas. they stand back and fire. they each take turns doing a knockdown shot, so that i take fewer hits. when he gets up, the next person in the firing line does theirs. coupled with my intimidate, and a warcry if things get hectic, i take little damage, dish out TONS, and rake in the experience. i usually beat everyone else by about 500 xp on each creature. then i let them take out the lair by themselves, and if a creature pops up, i start attacking before he can get to my ranged friends. this works very very well, but is for higher levels.

at low levels, do lots of NPCs in Eisley, or something. you can lunge/dizzy, and take down quite a few. if you die, you're only 200 meters away, and the hospital is always right there. i got almost all four boxes of one handed in Eisley. boring, but then the fun started.

good luck, keep us posted!

Leveling any of the melee professions seems to take a long long time.

I think the biggest aid to getting lots of XP fast is a good group. You need something or someoneto take the nasty hits for you.

I got most of my xp from group hunting on Dantooine (stay away from thoseSeething Bols...they laugh at puny fencer weapons)and from the Tusken Fort on Tatooine. The Tusken fort is a regular XP wonderland. Get a big group together so that you have something to tank for you and then start throwing Cho and Sai whatevers around. I always got a couple thousand xp per Tusken. Bleeds really help too.Make sure you position yourself correctly behind your tank so that you don't draw aggro. One good hit from anything higher than a Tusken Captain willhave yourunning the 5km all over again.

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but players holding rifles (and commando weapons at the moment) suffer 2.5 times melee damage... and it seems to me this extends to NPCs as well. Whenever a Tusken would whip out a rifle my damage on specials would catapult up into 4000+ territory (with a sliced gaffi).

Welcome to Fencer... good luck!

Ty for advice, finally got 70k exp after few days lol for fencer4, now its time to grind up the 125k/145k/250k/450k etc. I started out as a human scout. Its all random what the holocorn tells you, and yea i was looking at a 2month grind to get master fencer. But my doctor buffs help a bit, just not alot on fast/high hitting npcs. I can solo fambaa with buffs, but takes a bit

use your SPIN ATTACK, it is your friend, find some easy mobs, attack the lair and let them surround you, then SPIN away!! if each of them give 200xp, you earn 1K xp with 1 move.

after you get to fencer, get with a good group, idealy with CH and rezzer.

normally, yuo should get at least 150K-250K xp

Thanks fpr the info! my character is a human and started as a brawler...i was going for TK master. I got a Sith holo and it told me to Master Fencer.

After you get novice fencer how is the stun baton or what weapon should i keep an eye out for?

at novice, i think a reaaly nice curved sword is your best bet. once you master footwork, the gaderiffi baton is your best friend, as you'll hit the speed cap, and it's our highest damaging weapon. with a damage slice, these things are wicked.

also, a vibroblade might be handy for you. it all depends on your style. i can't use a vibroblade effectively without changing my style all around, but i still keep one on me just in case. you never know, right?
