Any downsides to this template (other than the lack of range further than 20m)? I know a few of you here have this template, and before I finish the grind, I'd like to hear it.

The spec gives you the tools, if applied in a decent manner, to work very decently in PVE and PVP.

I have had this spec now for a month, and except for the insane force users and high lvl Nightsisters , not much can take you down especially if buffed. Low lvl creatures of course will hit you very rarely, if at all.

However, we are all hoping thatimpending Doom does not visit this spec on the next patch(s).

If melee defense/ranged defense, and Defense vs "States" (KD, Stun, Dizzy, Blind, toughness etc) are split up by profession, and or weapon wielded, this will render this spec redundant and many of us are going to be in a dilemma.

dude i have this template

i agree with the above poster

its roxor

there are only a couple of things i dont mess with solo:

high-lvl NS

krayts (any kind)

droidekas (too smart for me...well only one at a time they are done for, when facing more than one it seems one will get into melee range and the rest will shoot at you for quite a bit of damage)

and um i cant think of any others right now, but it is late and i am tired

all you need is to master one of the above and seing how you are not using any ranged get the best of all the rest of the melee def and all the big hits

i am going master fencer with TKA 4-3-0-4 polearm 0-0-4-0 swordman what ever tree gives me def

i am hopeing to get over 200 ranged and melee DEF

IMO you are waisting points in mastering 2 fields. master one and dabble in the rest

dont even listen to this dude, he hasnt even mastered a profession yet, okay im a tkm/blademaster/mast brawler/3340 medic, i can heal myself rather well, with meditation i cna heal disease, wounds, etc... and BUFF myself, with doctors buffs+power boost+moun gold+gluclose+fishak+my 75% kinetic ubese armor, I CAN TAKE DOWN ANYTHING, high level NS, high level force, ive tried a canyon krayt and i was sucessful, still have yet to find an ancient krayt but when i do, ill try it, its a great combo, i prefair to wield a one handed sword during pvp because then you get the 105 dodge bonus and i like it better cause everyone is a TKM, and when fighting high level creatures i use TKM cause i deal more damage, but both will serve you well at one point or another

oh and for terrain negotion, i have gloves +19 to terrain negotian so i just use those so no scout for me

some more advice: get BE clothes that add +intimidate and +warcry, this raises your chance of a sucessful intimidation or warcry, and warcry 2 and intimidation 2 helppppp soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much you have no idea.

I don't know if you all have had the utmost privelage to experience Master Rifleman, but there is a LOT of good stuff to be said about it...

I bring it up here because I am going for Master Rifleman / Fencer / Master brawler if I can, and I know many probably have this spec already, but lemme explain anyhow.

Master rifleman - un-bee-leev-ably amazing mind damage, IF you have the right food and buffs (which is, in all honesty, easy enough to accomplish). I shoot an 8.0 speed rifle like a 1.5 speed pistol WITH headshots, strafe2, etc. Also, riflemen have ranged damage mitigation 3 and state (KD,dizzy etc)bonuses. Either block or dodge, or both, bonuses as well.I can't remember.

Master Fencer - Damage... meh. Not really a damaging profession. We have some status changers, melee mitigation 3, and state bonuses. Also lotsa dodge / block (yet again, can't remember) so that is great in both PvE and PvP.

Master Brawler - I want it for the Knockdown. End of story.

So what you have is a template that gives both Melee and Ranged mitigation 3, further plusses to ranged and melee defense, state preventers, amazing mind damage, a knockdown (and a 20 second delay with a good warcry), and did I mention EXTREME mind damage? No? Well then, EXTREME mind damage at alarming speeds!

That's my exclamation of fun-filled-typing.

Everyone on my server is a freakin Rifleman. Rifleman/TKA is very popular right now (and rightfully so - itsvery powerful). I tried Rifleman, and while I could easily see the power, I didn't enjoy it - so I didn't continue with it.

I can see how so many riflemen would get annoying, but I personally love the power. I started with rifleman at launch, but didn't have the resources or knowledge to make it far. Gave up, and for a while, went Commando. LOVED the DOT for the flame beyond words, and then it just started sucking in PvP when everyone became BH and, incidentally, rifleman. So I holoe'd for a bit, Smuggler, and then got a 2nd holo for rifleman. Did it because 1) the holo said so, and 2) I had wanted to go back for a while.

Hit master, and it is the best profession so far. All I need to say.

i rarely see an all out BH, i see a lot of dabblers IE myself, master carbineer/0400 BH is one of my chars, but on both my servers i only know about 20 master BH total, whereas i can name about 1000 master fencers, masterrifleman, tkm, etc....so i dont htink u should say everyone became a BH, there were tons of BH back in july and august, then everyone went commando, then pistoleer, now its rifleman/tkm, but i have tried rifleman, my current tkm/blademaster/mast brawler used to be tkm/rifelman and it was a fun combo, i like melee better though and i do better in pvp this way, and by the way, fencer is very damaging, i am always wielding a gaffi stick or stun baton, and i havent died in "fair" fights" since ive done this template, when outnumbered, i still last pretty long, but this has got to be my best pvp experienc yet.
