I'm looking at redesigning my character from Bounty Hunter (because all the whines are true, boring, broken etc etc). I'm looking at a fighting class to compliment a crafting skills. Up until now I can have 2 trees that have level 4, a level 3 or a level 2 and a 1.

For example 4/4/3/0 or 1/4/4/2, or even 3/3/3/1

I'm a little stumped what to take for fencer, can you people help me out a little, or is it not even worth it without going to master?

Thanks in advance.

I think you'll hear biased responses from the majority of people on here about fencer, and I'm no exception. Go with Fencer, all the way. IMO, try to get One-Hand Hit 2 right away, since that will be your main attack until you get One-Hand Hit 3, which will look like this: 0/0/3/0.I've done this and it's made the rest of my skill tree fill up faster.

My fellow fencers will say different, and like you, I'd be more than happy to hear what they have to say as to what skill branch should be raised first. As far as weapons and armor go, that all depends on your style of play. If you PvP a lot, get you some high kinetic Ubese armor (70%), or if you have a good group of friends, go to Endor and get some Marauder armor...low HAM costs and good defense against melee attacks. I personally don't wear armor, but use bio-clothing instead to boosts Intimidate/Warycry, bleed Defense, First Aid, and other **edit**. I also use a sliced Cursed Sword that has moderate HAM costs (80-200, 2.5 speed, my new baby!), and the Rantok Sword from Jabba's Theme Park, unsliced, with low HAM costs (50-150, 3.3 speed).

Oh, and try to go to the more advanced planets like Dantooine to get xp. Mobs are a little harder, and if you have Scout, harvest them for resources (but I'm sure you knew that already :smileytongue. Or, if you're on Nabbo like I am, go to the Narglatch cave to level up. But find what work for you, and let everyone here know how you're progressing. Happy Hunting!

I would start with the Footwork tree: 0/4/0/0, you gain Speed and Bleeds which will make leveling the rest alot easier and faster. A decent Gaffi sliced for damage at Master Footwork will be ungodly.

Hope this helps
