Been a master fencer for a few days now, and in PvP, when I'm trying to run away to regroup, nothing is more annoying than my run to be interrupted by a stop, jump, and resume every three steps. Sure, not getting hit is nice, but dayum! Being immobilized without being dizzy/KD'd is mind numbing. I thought the side-step animation for rifleman's block was bad, but at least that only happens when standing still. I can't imagine how bad it is for fencer/pistoleers. Kudos to you guys for having that kind of patience.

My dodge is almost always nerfed! so its no problem, iv never had it kick in, in PvP, in Pve its rare, but sometimes it pop's a few times, heck if I know.
I guess its like getting a 700, thena 3000 buff, total randomness? lol

i think theres a option in control -o to shut off animations, but then you will look like a robot when doing anything that has a emote or guesture, another trick ,but kinda sucks is if fleeing take weapon off for a second i dont think ya dodge with it not on

It's pretty funny actually when I got to grind pistoleer xp and I'm all buffed and armored up so I can stand still and just shoot away, anyway it looks like I'm dancing with creatures at times since I keep sidestepping in circles around them.

I just gave up running away. Staying to fight is a much better option. Until the next patch fencer/pistoleers are still very hard to hit anyway. Most of the time when i need to run I can pop a muon orsome pixieand finish the fight alive instead.

I love it, makes me actually feel like a fencer, even though it does get me killed occasionally

I'm pretty amazed by the animations and moves that occur when fighting humanoid NPCs myself, and they don't bother me at all. I get my bleeds and debuff specials out of the way and then just let the default attack take over and watch the show. I might throw in a special or two to finish off a long fight, but during the default attacks it's really quite well done. I find myself jumpinig to avoid pike sweeps and ducking, bobbing around and dodging and blocking. It's really quite well done and well choreographed to match the attacks that are being presented. To me, this is far from being an obstruction to fighting. Watching this action is why I'll keep fencer.
