Thread: Stats for Fencer
I'm human, for you it may depend on your race. I prefer.
400/400/400
400/400/400
1000/1000/1000
I do most of my fighting with buffs, so all of my HA stats are fine. Even without buffs, I can drink some Garrmoral and Accargm and wear armor and fight just fine. Just can't do as many specials.
Mind is your most important pool, as long as you have Mind, you can heal your Health and Action.

From my understanding, willpower is the most important attribute in the Mental category. The question I have is whether focus is the next in line in the hierarchy. In other words, is focus > or = or < mind. I amleaning towards800/1100/1100 (human). Comments?
Peace.
I'm a long term riflemen and this is a common issue on the riflemen boards due to the massive mind drain of rifles. Focus determines how much mind you lose per shot and willpower determines how fast your mind regenates.
The long and short is that it is much more important to not lose mind in the first place (especially with high encumb armor etc) than it is to have a fast regen. The reason being that if you are losing mind, you are on your way to dying anyways.
So, a typical mind stat migration for a human is 1100/1100/800. There is a magic point, around 1400 focus depending upon your armor encumb and your weapon special cost where you will lose zero mind per attack, which is the minimum point you want to be at after your stat migration, foods, and then armor encumberance.
Thank you, this is very helpful. I kept wondering about the most appropriate migration, given that I also have the Power Boost (PB) ability. My understanding is that Focus decreases your HAM cost for specials, but I was reluctant to trade off the extra mind points gained during PB by reducing mind to 800. The 1100/1100/800 option seems to take care of both concerns.
