Thread: I'm not jumping to any conclusions... but what does everyone else think?

Ok,
First of all I don't want to jump to any conclusions... but I have noticed in the forums that there are new weapons that are coming out in Publish 10. Including a 2 handed weapon, a polearm weapon (which i noticed has been something they wanted for awhile), and a bunch of pistols and carbines.
I'm not going to assume anything butif all these new weapons are to be useable in game..... what do we get?
If I'm not mistaken... this is the third new weapon 2 handed have gotten. We haven't gotten anything.
Don't get me wrong, good for all those professions that get more possibilties to their style of playing. But we have been looking for a new weapon for awhile (preferably ap1) and haven't gotten one new weapon.
Yes I'm being selfish, but does anyone else have a thought on this?

I was kinda upset about this when I first found out as well, but remembering what it was like being a pikeman, I can't help but feel better for them. When I was a pikeman back in the 'ol days of this game, I felt so bad everytime I fought alongside or against another melee prof, and also seeing all the love all the other ones (or tka at least) was getting. I dunno, but I still feel like a pikeman sometimes, even though I haven't played as one for prolly 5 or 6 months. I can't help but feel great for them. As for swordsman, they are the one brawler prof I haven't mastered, and when I came back to this game after 3 or 4 months of not playing and seeing all the cool new stuff they've gotten, and now getting more stuff... that just kinda ticks me off

Yes! I thought I was the only one lol.. I agree, (epecially with polearms and carbines) I think it's great that they are adding more weapons period. But they should have given every profession one weapon... instead of giving a bunch to a few choice fighters. If they srpead out the wealth... less people would be annoyed by this.

the names on the sword and the polearm sound like they're from wookie origins......if they were going to be wookie only weapons, that'd open up a whole new can of worms......
my guess is that those guns are going to be bh weapons or something to that extent. I'm only guessing

Lol... if those are wookie only weapons.... I'm not exactly sure what'll happen.

The carbine might be something with a bit lower HAM cost. Most carbiners and certainly most BH with the carbine line would tell you that to use the carbine almost kills them if they use special. So it might be a lower powered low HAM cost weap. I just wish they would give fencers a bladed weap that could rival the batons. I would much rather use a blade everyday as a fencer IMO.
