Was dueling this guy in coronet, on Tempest. He revealed he was a riflemen after the duel started by kiting. Fairly used to that, not normally a problem with Lunge 2. However, every time I caught up to him, my attacks would cease, and my combat Que would empty, then he would run off again, and start shooting again. Rinse, Repeat.
My assesment was that he was peacing every time I got close to him. And it was lame. I finally just ended the duel. Because I hit him a few times, but I could never get the real hurt on him, as I could never get any combinations going.

It actually might have been the lag. The other player was already farther than your range even though he seemed in range... happens alot when chasing someone. Lol I duel a master rifleman alot for fun.... I hide behind a building to force him to get close to me.... but that doesn't always work hehe

Heres the simple solution to never, ever, ever, losing ground on a rifleman. At the very beginning of the battle change their posture so that u can get right on top of them. Then activate the /follow command. They will not a 2-4 meter radius around you. And if they burst, just make sure that you have yours ready, and possibly sum burst run food just in case.
Co-valent

Be careful of them Dizzying you first and then bursting. The dizzy state will prevent you from bursting.
