Thread: What do you think about this suggestion?

I think a way to balance out the professions a little better should be to provide each with a different level of ap

TKs shouldnt get any AP weapons

Fencers should get up to AP1

Swordsman should get up to AP2

Pikeman should get up to AP3

Obviously there is more to it than just that, but I think that is similar to the way the ranged profs work right? (Pistols get 1, Carbines up to 2 and Riflemen 3?)

What do you guys think?

No offense, but I believe thats exactly the wrong way to go about it. Basically, you tell every profession except Pikeman to pick a number and stand in line for PvE combat at the high end, for no real gain at all.

While I do agree currently the AP issue is a bit weird (mainly the VK and swordsman) if anything, I would like to see Vibro weapons as a sort of AP alternative to existing ones.

Lets face it, right now there is a "best" weapon for TKM, Fencer and Swordsman.... only pikemen have the "luxury" of picking, and that, sadly, due to the horrible design of that profession since release (no real focus at all)

I would rather suggest allowing more variety by putting in AP stun, non AP heat and weapons like that... so we dont all run around with the same.

This goes hand in hand with the armor revamp though, so I guess just wait and see.

U are oversimplifying it. This wouldnot be liked by most players at all (except maybe pikeman) either way there should be varying weapons with different ap in every profession. This way certain weapons will have advantages over others.

I agree. We need to be able to select from a variety of tools depending on the situation. An Armour Piercing weapon 3 for armoured nasties, perhaps a wickedly fast weapon with no armour piercing for targets that may not have armour, and weapons that compromise between the two.
