P.S. I have been pushing for power-ups that increase AP and others thatchange damage type. You may consider push for that on that TKA forums.

Careful, I know one armorsmith that likes to include 4% stun protection layers when he makes composite armor.

Unless I don't understand armor-crafting - which is very possible - wouldn't a 4% stun layer offer an effective 52% damage absorption against AP0 weapons?

That's still 48% of damage allowed compared to 5% damage allowed for a 90% kinetic/energy suit. Sure the stun baton's weaker,but notby a ratio of 48 to 5 (approximately 10 to 1).

And of course, you don't know if that composite has stun resist at all - in which case the ratio is 20 to 1.

I find it kinda dumb to switch from tka to fencer. We may have a stun baton but we dont do nearly as much damage as a tka and we take alot more damage as well. Chances are if you couldnt beat him as a tka you probably wont beat him as a fencer.

Why wouldn't you just go for swordsman if you are so worried about getting through armor? they have AP2 weapons which will do pretty good damage and they dont' kill themselves in the process (stun baton has huge mind costs)

i am a straight up dueler, raids are nice but i mostly duel

swordsman are nice only for their mind bleed, but other than that a 90% comp would make swordsman useless. i hate bleeding and running also =/

oh ya im going master tka and master fencer BTW

but if they give a stun damage weapon to tka or 2h....then i guess ill have to delete fencer and go tka/swordsman

i also heard that they are adding AP to fencer weapons?

well...after reading these posts i really regret dropping my 9 boxes of 2h to go fencer....but what the hell =P

yup i used to be a master TKA....but i do jack @#$% to that armor and i need something to pierce it!!!!

FYI: the devs are working on increasing weapon selection for TKA, and hopefully all melee types. So having both TKA and fencing may make soom sense butdropping TKA just to get stun damage would not.
