Thread: Top issue for all melee classes

Personally, I think that melee classes should have their own terrain negotiation rather than wasting all our useful skillpoints on scout. Melee classes shouldnt have to depend on another profession just to be able to survive on their own. If we have some form of terrain negotiation that lets us run a bit faster then we would not be complaining about how hard it is to fight a ranged weapons guy that just outruns u and shoots u. These points on terrain negotiation should be added when you start off as a novice brawler. Then you could choose to master scout to be even faster. Why cant the devs see this problem?

but if we could run fast then that would be unfair also....

what they needto do is... either increase damage or make it so we can slow down enimies for a small period of time

It would be nice to have 25 or so extra points and run up hill fast, but I wouldnt mind if... (you got to agree with me on this) each master melee fighter gets a Jump Kick Move!!! each looking super cool... Just Imagin it, there the ranged guys are off fire away at you, then you hit your jump kick button and your cratacter does a dead set burst at the enemy, Then BURSTS into the air jumping 20m at the enemy and knocking him off his feet, and then you jump up, in your perfect range and Blow out all your Uber Combos!!!...

T-900 - relax there, buddy, that was out of line. The fencer board is the most consistently polite and respectful, and I think Vake's post was in the spirit of fun. Let's not spoil the atmosphere.

Unless you're messing about too, in which case I don't know squat.

Forgive me for being a pessimist. I've tried to be a constructive contibutor in alot of communities where your little suggestion there would be congratulated, not had you crucified.

yeah, T, we're not like that here. i thought it was hilarious. i would love you see a jump kick (note sarcasm). i can see how you'd be a little different hanging out on other forums. i made the same comment in a thread not too long ago.

when you're hear, kick off your shoes, have a laugh, and remember that we're all close enough to wanting the same thing that we don't need to chastise each other.

ha! i just realized it sounded like i was chastising you. none of us are. we just hate to see that throbbing vein in your forehead.

as for crucifixion, let's leave that to the superbowl half-time shows.

It does bring us to an interesting point... afaik teras kasi was originally deigned to be about 70% unarmed, 30% 'ninja style' weapons, for example the fencers curved sword... More like a samurai than a martial artist.. I would prefer it that way.

I think terrain negotiation skill mods would be great. They would have to be high up in the elite combat classes though, much like Combat Medics get.
