I was a TKM and ofcoarse Dizzy after Knockdown meant sure death to anyone cause wuth dizzy you couldnt get back up...if you did then you would probably go back down.

So that said, what does dizzy do for a Fencer? I dont think we have a Knockdown do we?

Hi,

I believe Warcry is important too. I wouldn't want them to get the first shot with stopping shot or something powerful. Our first attack will be either dizzy or lunge. So while doing it, they might get a powerful shot on ye.

It's useful in PvE too.Few times, the other day,I dizzy2 three stormtroopers. They ran off but they kneeled to take good aims. So they got themselves KDed! It was so funny three simultaneous KDs and I didn't even ahve to lunge.

So I think you all should get a bio-clothes with plus intimidate/warcry.

Ever since COB came out I find myself not using intimidate/warcry as much... I usually do COB, Blind, HealthHit2... if they're humanoid I'll give 'em the ol' Dizzy/Lunge. After all that, Intimidate/Warcry just take up too much HAM - especially if I'm wearing armor.

Just my two creds...

Umm ...

I am talking about PvP here. You see, BH can start spamming EyeShot as the first attack. But we have to go through dizzy and lunge before we can do much damage. So you will have at least 1 sec of non-damage time slot in which BH can score 1-3 eyeshot at you. Well ... Pistoleer can score a stopping shot or something.

I would start using warcry and intimidate so you learn to use it in combat situation. It will become important I am sure.

here's what i do:

on a character like bh, my first hit is the lunge 2 from master brawler. generally it will work, and once it does, i immediately dizzy. if dizzy doesn't work, i do it again. the point of knocking them down with the first hitis to simply get the first few hits in. if they get up before you have a chance to dizzy them (or get up while getting dizzied and not fall down), use lunge 1 and that should finish them.

if this doesn't work then spam scatter hit 2 (lol)

I don't know if I am bugged-- but I find that I cannot open an attack with Warcry anymore... : ( I actually need to hit it twice (costing me valuable time) or hit 'attack' first.

I don't do a lot of PvP, so I guess that's why my mind went straight to PvE.

I can see your point for using Warcry against BH and similiar foes, but I only tend to land about 50% of them so it just irritates me more than anything. It still whacks my HAM to pieces but doesn't do me any good. It's just my particular playstyle of course... I'm sure that if/when I get more in to PvP that I'll find myself using it more.

It probably makes a difference that I at 0-1-0-1 I only have Warcry1 right now anyway

BTW Kali, I have the same problem with Warcry and Intimidate not working if I'm not already in combat. My "opening sequence" macro for fencing used to look like this, when I still used warcry and intimidate:

/attack
/pause .5 <- Without the pause I was still having problems
/warcry1
/intimidate1

Incidentally, now it looks like this:

/centerOfBalance
/attack
/tellpet attack
/pause .5
/blind1
/healthHit1

The only problem with predicating your entire attack upon the success of an opening move... is that it will often not succeed against a skilled opponent. This is true regardless of which profession of special we are talking about... with the possible exceptions of TKA and commando, or I suppose jedi if you ever bump into one. For us mere mortals, attempting to open with a knockdown/delay/DoT special is often less than a 50/50 proposition, even for a master. If you have the endurance to just grind down your opponent with consistent scores, this can often be a better strategy than trying to hit that home run and striking out. This is especially true for people like me who have less than stellar luck.
