Thread: Looking to level quickly, no buffs, no pets, no groups, advice?

First, I'm fencer 3/4/2/3, I've been taking Huurton Howler missions and usually have to heal during battle with some stim-b's. I like that they give out 3400 xp each and am not looking for more than that. I am looking to broaden my horizons. What other creatures are out there in that range that won't totally wreck me and will give good xp?

I like killing the crimson razor cats on corellia, but if there's more than 2 i'm screwed since they bleed my mind too quickly.

I've been leveling, not to mention getting pretty rich, but taking mountain worrt missions on Tat, I like these because no matter how many are around, they don't all aggro. But the xp is only 1600 each. I do the bobcatt missions as well but for the extra 600xp each, its faster and easier to do the worrt missions.

I'm not chasing holos, my intention to level quickly is just because I'm a casual player that would like to master in the next couple weeks, started fencer in september and generally do not grind out XP until recently when I decided wanted the "fencer" title and shot up the footwork tree.

Any advice on good creatures to go after would be appreciated. I'm looking for things that give xp in the 2-4k range that are not impossible and I will be able to go through without losing tons of mind. The worrts don't, or rarely, do any mind damage at all...

If you have very nice armor, try fort tusken. Be sure to lure them out a little at a time so you don't get surrounded by too many of them. dizzy hits, knockdowns and bleeds will help you a lot. Plus, there's usually one or two others there, so you can usually call for backup when needed, but don't need to arrange a group.

Lots of xp - 2-4k per tusken.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Fort Tusken

I've watched a buddy of mineburn throughall 4fencer trees in less than a week. He wears composite though and buffs are not hard to find in our city. However, I've seen many other fencers there with no buffswearing Ubese or no armor at all and they do ok as well. Just watch out when the tough guys spawn ever other round. The XP just pours from that place. Plus there's always the chance of finding that rare gaffi with mind poison, or armor attachments, skill tapes, clothes with cool effects that sell for huge amounts of money, locked containers and force crystals. I leveled the TKA meditation tree there in no time at all.

thanks, I kept planning to head there and got side tracked for some reason or another, usually a trip to the clone throne but that's another story...

I've been doing huurton howlers, the huntresses con yellow to me, for good reason and I can only take them out one at a time without buffs. I should point out it's not like I'm against buffs, I'm just a spontaneous player that doesn't want to seek a doc to buff me then go hunting.

I dont' mind food buffs since I can buy and eat when i want and pixies are good but I don't like the "hangover", i drink a lot of sunburn but that's not a good enough buff. I'm lookin for a good mind buff cause that's where i really need the help. Any suggestions on that would be appreciated.

I use fairly high kinetic armor since the bulk (well over 90%) of my fights are against creatures.

I also use the 2 bleeds on the higher level creatures in a mob and then use some spin attacks but i don't use too many since killing them fast with lots of specials defeats the bleeding and ends up doing more damage to me than them...

for mind buff you could use Moun Gold but it has a nasty downer so if you dont like that maybe try the angerian fishank or something it is made by master chef i belive and it buffs the mind about 10 min i think and it buffs it by 570 then down side of it is that it takes some of your action but if it is made ny a good master chef the action downer isnt large i bought some the other day that had -6 in action and i guess you can be without 6 in action so that is a good one if your specials drain your mind maybe you could try some of the focus boosters if you get your focus real high the drain of mind will be very low.

thats what i can suggest maybe there is some better out there for mind but angerian fishank is nice i think i use it a life saver if my mind goes low and if that desnt help i take a moungold.

i find buffing mind itself to be less important than the subs. i dont like spice for the downers so i cary a crate of corelian ice cream which is about 450 focus for 5 minutes in a food. and a crate of ice blaster which is willpower drink i dont remember the exact stats on it though. this has worked beter for me than fishlak. though that is a very nice drink for a straight mind buff. if you are looking at reducing your mind cost to minimal. stackng the ice cream with a drink called breath of heaven works nice... with the added side effect of reducing all your ham costs by quite a bit (breath of heaven is about 450 to all your cost sub-stats for around 5 minutes)

these products may be hard to find but are well worth it for those of us who cant stand just siting there waiting for the downer to wear off

There is a player city with a cloning center near Fort Tusken on Shadowfire. Makes it nice.

errm... well... there was until the patch that fixed the shifting cities. It disappeared with that patch and they could not place another one.

Hi,

I earned about 1mil XP by killing Huurton Huntresses and Piket Walkers in 15-20 hours. I like these guys much better than Tuskens who can get clever on you and use some random specials. Sometimes they put bleedand heavy wounds (bleed wounds ~100-200). This could be bad when it's bad enough that you can't wear armor anymore.

The mobs I have mentioned rarely get clever and only does kinetic damage. Also, they all mob up so you can dish out your spinblind and spinattack. So get on your high kinetic armor. And, buff up (6000-8000 credits, so cheap I might add). I like to bleed all my mobs before going to spin attack spamming, but it isn't a requirement.

EX. Huurton Huntress Lair gives ... 5-6 full sized Huntresses. Each of these gives about 2500 XP. 12500 XP per lair. You should be able to finish Huntress Lair in approximately5-10 min. Also, you get 3000-4000 XP from destroying the lair. Piket Walker herds (w/o lair)generally contain 2-6 of them. These guys will give you 2000-3000XP each. 4000-18000XP per head. A herd (w/o lair) can be done in 3-5 min.

I would stay away from voritors. They poison and run away sometimes. This makes them annoying and time consuming for about the same XP.

I picked up a crate of muon gold but accidentally shot myself with a pixie instead, which did more hurt than good at that particular time. I am planning to take a column or two in chef to support my new habits but will be looking for the fishank and ice cream you mention.

I should have worded that I was looking for buffs for all the mind subs, I didn't mean just mind.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I am back on Dantooine trying this new info about buffs on the huurton howlers and then am headed to Ft Tuskan to crank out another blademaster by the end of next week, but this one will be sticking around for the long haul...

I like giant dalydrakes on talus.

you can get six at a time easy and kill them quick and each gives about 2k exp so you get 12k per round of six and they spawn like 3 or 4 times per lair. I just finished off footwork 4 on them and was not even trying hard. Real fast exp.
