I chose curved sword over rykk (even though rykk looks sweeter) cause of the lower HAM costs and range mods. You can see the rancor tooth hurt both of these, as well as min dmg and speed. But overall it's a stronger weapon than my regular curved swords (which are 2.2 speed 75-172 dmg). I used a tooth with +116 maxdmg.Opinions?

It's nice to see melee enhancements dropping but according to my calculations the DPS on this sword is less than your standard curved sword. The negativemodifiers to speed and minimum damage really hurt the damage output.

A master fencer gets +90 one handed speed, I don't think the speed is much of a factor (unless you're a non-master of course). I'm wondering more about whether the higher HAM costs and range mods are a worthwhile tradeoff for the damage.

I'd prefer a standard gaffibaton over that, due to the gaffi batons lowmind cost

Base DPS are better than a curved sword but without the +10 Accuracy given with the Curved swords I get, and with the HAM costs this is still less enticing than my Gad.

Good attempt, really is a good attempt but till Curved Swords can reach 270Max or more and still have +10 Accuracy Mods, Curved swords are really always going to be inferior to VB's Gad's and Stuns.

Keep up the hard work good to see there is a weaponsmith out there still pushing the boundries of melee weapon norms.

a nice weapon for those who are dont like carrying the gaffis,vb, stun baton. iguess the biggest question to ask is the thing sliced. If noy assuming a good damage slice it could get higher damages then a sliced gaffi. However the min would make it a lot less reliable. Then of course theres the ham problems. If i had it i would use it but iwould be full aware of its weaknesses and planaccordingly.

The wound chance is very nice.

The damage is also very nice.

I dont believe the min dmg being dropped would really hurt it all that much. It might, but you still have high max damage...

The speed is comparable to a gaffi, which I hit with really fast anyways.

The Ham... well... yeah. Spam less, natural attacks more. Careful planning of when to use specials. It's a good weapon for the style that a lot of fencers have probably been using for a long time anyways .

All in all, I think this would be a good weapon for PvP if the other person wasnt wearing strong kinetic resisting armor. The wounds generated would be intense, and the other person would get a surprise if they thought it was weaker then a gaffi.

Get it sliced, and post the stats back on this thread.

I'd buy it too.

The addition of damage mitigation in the next publish will make minimum damage much more important. A weapon with a low minimum damage and large damage variation will become less effective against targets with melee damage mitigation.

acccualy its better than my graffi, mine is 289 max damage with a 30% damage slice, Imagine if u put the rancor tooth on a graffi.

but next time you get one u should try to put it on a graffi and if that dosent work then a vibroblade or stun baton would be good

tai , rancors teeth take the place of sword cores. Gaffis dont use sword cores.a gaffi cant use it.

I updated the screenshot to post-slice. 24% damage. Still pales compared to a gaderifi's potential, and lacks armor piercing. I guess rancor teeth truly are an entire waste of time

This was a +116 tooth. I've never seen or heard of one better than +125, so I don't think it's possible to do much better than this. Ah well, it was fun.
