Thread: Fencer or TKM?!?!?!?!?!
tkm will get schooled in pvp compared to a fencer=D
Only a few exceptions to this, and well, lets face it, on my server, the tkm would go through a suit of armor before he killed me(or any other fencer that knows his gaffi from a curved) with one of those exceptions..
Tkm is, without a doubt, great for PvE, and medoker on PvP, but for PvP, fencer will be superior to tkm for many reasons, mainly stun damage. 95% of armor is vunerable to it, gives us an edge, tkm, gets the most common damage, kinetic
If fencer had a head-hit, i do belive that nobody would be a tkm for PvP, but keep in mind, I said their (tkms) "great' not 'the best' for Pve.
Its all a trade-off, if it were me, rerolling my character (next week) it will look something like, Mstr fencer, Mstr brawler, Tk 4-0-0-? Medic 4-?-?-?
In itself - fencers have excellent defenses in their profession. High melee defense, high ranged defense, and high state defenses. And dodge.
Mixing with another combat profession to augment your defenses will make you feel really safe. If you think TKM makes a good tank in PvE... wait till you are a Blademaster 
Damage output for fencers is mediocre for a melee profession, compared to TKM or swordsman in PvE. It's notexactlyweak by any means, but the profession lacks powerful AP 1 weapons,and has no AP 2 or 3 weapons.Fencer is quite offensively viable in PvP due to the stun baton's ability to bypass many players' armor and the ability of Scatter Hit moves to attack the mind pool more frequently than random attacks.
You might miss the meditate line of TKA, fencers have nothing comparable.
That's it in a nutshell. TKA does more damage in PvE but doesn't have as good defenses and don't have stun damage for PvP.

Pure fencer vs Pure tk, no armor, fencer will also win. you forget dodge.
stims equli and such generally arnt allowed in "honorable" duels.
and as for FoW, i db instantly, so thats not an issue, if you want to test it, let me finish this stupid entertainer grind, redo fencer, and we go at it, I play on bria.
