i know... it makes me cry that people that are supposed to be UNARMED are getting a new weapon before we do....

However you fail to realize that TKA can only do one type of damage, kinetic, which also happens to be the one resist in the game that atleast 75% of mobs with resists seem to be resistant. And out of all the immunities atleast 60% of immunities go to Kinetic aswell, Tka have fought a good argument in getting this new weapon because their are many mobs that they cannot attack, while all other proffessions have a fallback damage type in the event that such a thing happens.

Wow, never been into bitching about this kind of stuff, but you're right the dev's are smoking something if they think unarmed martial artists with extremely unique and varied skills need more weapons. Seems like they keep "fixing" the profs that aren't broken. Riflemen, my other prof, just got the berserker rifle, no idea why. Now the unarmed fighting specialist are going to have another weapon. Why don't they fix pikemen, fix BH, fix commando, work on dual wielding, fix the speed cap issues, fix base exploits, fix the bugged CM range, fix the...ah, sorry,just frustrated with SOE today, still love SWG, but that's lame if you ask me.

i didnt say that tka didnt need any love... im just saying that it sucks that we are the last to get any love... :*(
then again... in knowing the devs... it might just do kinetic and maybe i lil bit more damage... its already hard as hell to get considering it needs NS vibro units it make it....

Err, I thought limiting TKA's to kinetic damage was their one big "balancing factor"? That sure as hell is the one excuse you see floating around on their boards every time someone screams nerf! Take that away and what will their new excuse be?
If this new weapon does anything but kinetic damage I'll scream.

The excuse would be that TKA dont really need a nerf, one of the best TKM on my server got beaten by me when i was a lowbe BH at melee range, people dont seem to know when to cry nerf, i just hit TKM and ya i can tank, and yay i can kill fast provided i have my VK on but damn even with 2200+ on every stat i still lose Ham like its nobodys biss

Agreed. But one of the reasons they ARE more or less in balance is because they're limited to kinetic damage. If they got a less commonly resisted damage type they'd be thrown totally out of whack with the rest of us. I stress that they're more or less in balance, because you really only have fair fight against one while fully buffed and wearing the best composite.
And if this new weapon turns out to be AP 2 we'd better be next in line to get one as well; even though I don't think we should have high AP weapons. But if the devs see fit to drop an AP2 weapon on TKA's. . .

if they add ap2 to the weapon i totally disagree with it, because thats wrong for a tka ( although it would help me greatly ) the only reason i support the weapon is for a new damage type

This is good for Tk yeah I guess, but the bad thing is it requires a NS vibro unit. From what I hear, the only NS that is going to drop it only spawns once a day and has high ham and res..pretty much another elder. *shrug* I don't know though, I hope that the person who informed me was wrong though.
