Thread: PvP Question from a new Master Fencer

Okay so here is it as it stands.

Master TKA

Master Fencer

Medic 4/4/0/0 (for fast healing stim b's, and quick heal)

Brawler 4/4/0/0

I'm going for a good PvP Template. Now currently I'm thinking I will master Brawler for the lunge 2 and warcry 2. Was also thinking of picking up a nice uber acklay stun baton.

I hit Master Fencer last night and immediately buffed my health and action, and used canape, brandy, and muon on my mind. Normally I would buff the mind too, but i wanted to jump in on some PvP play. Also, I wear Comp armor, with 57% base, and 34% stun layer protection.

First one i did, i went up against another fencer. I held up pretty well but eventually my mind screwed me in the end. I dont know how it happened, but i think for the most part me and my opponent were using warcry and scatter hit 2. I also had a CoB macro running. He used intimidate on me a few times, I didnt use it on him, but i still had more of his health and action taken down then he did on mine. It was really only my mind that gave me the problem. We had about a 5 minute duel before my mind crapped out and i lost.

After that i was helping a friend fight some imps. The guy (a fencer and master bralwer as far as i could tell)ran, and I followed, and ended up dueling him. We both had CoB macros running, and I believe he was a master brawler due to his knockdowns and 20 second delay attacks. I was holding up a best i could (another 5 long mintues or so), and probabaly would have lost to him fairly due to my mind, but his imp friend show up and gunned me down. I couldnt get at him due to him kiting me. Anyhow, i lost.

So it seems like that Lunge 2 knockdown and Warcry 2 really make the difference. As well as intimidation too. So should I go for Master Brawler? Or should I put my remaining skill points elsewhere? Any template suggestions are very much appreaciated. ANY at all. You can recommend a completely new template as far as i care, i just want to be one of the high end PvP players. I'm tired of losing all the time. You cant win em all, but I shouldnt have to lose em all either lol.

Also, could someone suggest a good attack structure? I'm sure spamming scatter hit 2 and warcry isnt the way to go.

Thanks guys.

I'd say don't master brawler. But first here is more equipment and buffs you might need

45minute brandy or higher

Canapes with low filling

Dodge food

Blue milk (for when you can't take another brandy, sometiems you have space for the 29 filling to get a good mind heal in there)

+15-25 to warcy and intimidate BE shirt. This makes intimidate much easier. Hotkey intimidate, dont worry about warcry.

High damage acklay stun bat (this makes all the difference, make sure max is higher than minimum damage)

Rest of your composite should be 35-37% stun on each piece if you can manage that.

Musician buffs (i never leave home without them) dancer buffs help a lot too

PSG, sliced. Even if it is sliced for encumb, this + stun armor makes it really difficult for stun bats to do anything to you, however they still can, especially when you are dizzy KD. Refer to below

85% base composite armor helm. If you can't get a high effectiveness slice on a 35-37% stun helm, just hotkey the two helms, stun and high base, and when you hear the riflemen switch to a T21 or a DXR6b acid damage thinger-migigger, just hotkey the high base helm, and so forth. This won't save you from all out mobbings, even with a 400min damage stun bat (that Im not using anymore) I still got mobbed to death nothing will avoid that. They won't be able to do crap to you with their uber rifles, especially with it being so hard to hit you due to your high ranged defense and dodge mods.

COB macro should be named centermac (or whatever)

/center;

/pause xx;

/ui action clearCombatQueue;

/mac centermac

This makes sure that you stay centeredd even when your combat box has stuff in it.

Right now you just have medic meaning CM's will tear you up, and if you get dizzyKD you can get torn up by basically any good combat profession regardless of your armor and buffs. Your KD and PD defenses are high, but it will still happen. I have no problems getting a fencer/tka/swordsman posture down, but I can't ever, ever, ever get a rifleman/fencer posture downed. CM's own them anyway, and they can't heal their states.

So like everyone I will point you to doctor, once you have a high damage stun bat you won't care as much about unarmedheadhit. My template is 4004 TKA, MFencer, and Doctor 3040. I can heal damage, heal all states, never can be kept DizzyKD, stun someone if I really want to, cure poison, and put out fire. Sometimes I'm tempted to drop the last precision striking for disease heals, but the amount of times I run into CM's with nasty diseases is limited.

With this set up, food and buffs will still decide some of your battles, theres no real way around that.

I wouldn't use a weapon that has a higher minimum damage than maximum damage. Those are bugged and using them is an "exploit". Any weapons like that should be deleted or else a CSR could take it away with no warning ... with you losing millions of credits paying for it. So heed the dude's advice

This is a great pvp template...

Master fencer, master swordsman, 4/0/0/4 in tk, novice medic, and master brawler. I use this and im one of the best pvp people on the galaxy. Infact, i was beating a dark jedi master until he ran away with force run.

I agree with most of what you say....except not having warcry, warcry is a huge asset for an all melee player.

EDIT: But I wouldn't bother without M.Brawler.
