Thread: Fencers vs Jedi ?

Just wandering how you guys feel you compare to jedis in PVP ?
Im thinking or rerolling my character to bounty hunter / fencer to help ease the influx of jedi's who have ruined my gaming experience pvping with my rifle character at present.
I am tossing up between TKA / Fencer, not sure which way to go yet, i have played fencer prior, but that was a while back and a LOT has changed since then.
Any input or advice would be REALLY appreciated.

Fencers usually own against a Jedi as long as the fencer is armored, is master, and has some air cake i think for Dodge and synth Steak for Defense. Muon would be pretty good especially cause the duel should not last longer than 9 mins. Also, if you get to dizzy lunge right away cause they can heal there dizzy. So once they get KD'd get a whole bunch of one handed 3's in, use scatter two while they are standing. I have so far encountered two Jedi and have defeated them both, one buffed, one un-buffed.

I would say it depends on the Jedi. They have some nasty attacks to look out for (dizzy/blind/stun) and can heal themselves while knocked down. As long as you have the right foods you should be good. There's not much point to wearing armor, since comp and everything else is vulnerable to lightsaber (I believe some types of PSG s aren't you might want to take a look at that).

As from the perspective of a Jedi, let me tell you this:
Only ONE type of Jedi is threat to you:
Master LS + Healer 4xx4
They will use onehanded LS on you and go for your mind only. They may try to add some states and bleeds, but mainly they go for mind. Even if you are fully entertainer buffed you are dead, IF:
1. The Jedi has enough force (4000+) and you DONT have the means to heal mind (blue milk) AND the Jedi knows what he is doing
2. The Jedi has enough force (5500+) AND the Jedi knows what he is doing.
If you had any success in killing a jedi postpatch he was either a noob or he spammed his combat queue so he got over his heals.
Sure thing, you easily outdamage the Jedi, BUT he can heal under almost any circumstances - you not.
And fighting a Jedi full of synthsteak and brandy is only possibly to a group of at least two or another Jedi.
So far I had 4 tests against various fencer templates. I only lost one of them due lack of concentration.

In theory the jedi should beat the fencer .
However melee and mitation lower the jedi damage in a huge way .
However once jedi has force armor 2 ( 44% damage resist ) and 1500 HAM healsyou have your work cut out.
Add in force defence 4000 and you got a bad ass melee killing machine.

I will only say one thing :
A Jedi means nothing..
A Fencer means nothing..
It's the moves, tactics, and etc.
I have killed a TKM/BH in 30 secs.
I have fought my Fencer/BH friend for a good 10 mins, we couldn't beat each other.
I have killed a Fencer/BH in 1 min.
A Master Pistoleer / Smuggler 0040 / BH3040 killed me in 2 mins.
I was 0404 LS / 2002 Enhancer / 3000 healer att hat time.
And I am pretty surprised how rare the Keyword to victory is used by players : Intimidate..

Hmm your wrong. A fencer would want to be unarmored or he would be takingmore damage form the lightsaber due to the vuln. Alwasy best to fight them unarmored. And use a gaffi.

Damon has it right. A Fencer, especially one with other classes augmenting his Fencer can take a Jedi up to a certain point. The lightsaber isn't the problem, it's when they start to get the extra stuff. The Armor, the Heals, the state removal. He can heal all 3 stats at once, you can't heal mind.
A good FRS Jedi will hurt you.
