Fencer Archive

Due to a lack of skill points, I'm going to have to make a decision on what weapons I want to use.

I have quite a bit of experience with pistols, and I've also used 1-handed melee weapons. I've enjoyed the 1-handed melee, but I would only have enought points to get novice fencer.

Can you be an effective fighter with only novice fencer, or do you need to advance up the skill trees in order to be decent?

It's a tough decision to go pistol or melee, so I guess I just need a little input...

you can still be decent. it won't augment your abilities much... i personally would recommend doing something else. simply because the disparity between one-handed IV and Blademaster is so great. i can't ever imagine not being a Blademaster if going one handed. maybe someone else can show you some usefulness, but as far as i know, it might be a waste.
