Well he may not be wrong for his current standing of the profession, however along with his claim that the curved is better it would be usefull to include your level of Fencer. At master level vs medium armor with 40% kinetic resistance my gaffi still beats my vibro blade.

people are so ready to jump into an argument. go use the tool to sort out which is best for yourself.

Tested with my two primary weapons with no powerups:

Gaffi: [email protected]
Stun: [email protected]
(both weapons reach speed cap)

For unarmored: my gaffi had almost double the DPS of my stun.
For kinetic at 40% with no ar: gaffi is still better than the stun.

Where the stun really shines is in stuff that has ap1 with kinetic protection but no stun protection.

So I guess nothing that we didn't already know /shrug.

Until you hit footwork 3, a speed sliced curved. After footwork 3, a damage sliced gaffi. That's all, end of story. You ARE going up footwork first aren't you?

But, I will say I don't think there is an overall best. I fancy my sliced Ryyk Blade made by MetalKid on the Gorath Server. However, I also don't do any fighting without my trusty Stun Baton at my side. If this were Star Trek, I believe a 'Scotty' response to this would simply be, "The right tool for the right job!" Most things are vulnerable to Stun Damage... However... my Ryyk Blade more or less makes massive meanse meat out of most things Health HAM. It's really a matter of judging your opponent with the weapons in your inventory.
