Thread: Thinking about giving up Fencing...

I'm nota hologrinder - so this is a legitimate beef. After the publish of changes to warcry and changes to bleed in seriously considering giving up fencing. The sad thingis - I haven't finished it yet - I'm 4/4/2/4 right now and I'm thinking about going TKA/rifleman because it just plain works. Basically - I need something to hunt krayts. So with no fencer bleeds I just don't see the reasoning anymore.

hmmm have you ever wondered WHy they made krayts 300-400k ham? SO YOU COULDNT SOLO THEM

he never said he wanted to solo krayts... he just said he needed something to hunt them

Yep - wasn't for soloing. My team consists of a Commando, MDX2, Rifleman, Swordsman. So I'm thinking about adding another another Rifleman for pure damage-output. Mainly the idea for ME being fencer was to TANK. But it doesn't seem all that viable.

Your just like everyone else, you can't stick with a prof, you have to go jump the uber bandwagon. I mean what did you wnat by posting this??? Support?

What I'm looking for are contradictions - Any support FOR or AGAINST this idea. I'm trying to get an idea from players that have experiences in PvP and PvE. I know there are numerous experiences in threads below, but I'm specifically looking for results with those in the krayt graveyard.

fencer is awesome in PvP, i dont know what your thinking...
I can beat TKMs more the I lose, get some nice clothing or kinetic armor and they arent much of a match if you know how to play your fencer, any specific problems you have with TKMs and Riflemen let me know I will help yo figure things out. Honestly its all about COB....

I went out on a Krayt hunt just the other night. We ran into a Giant Canyon Krayt. There were probably a good 50 of us... mostly BHs & Commandos.
I decided to throw caution to the wind and see how I'd fare as fencer. After a couple of near instantaneous deaths I started modifying my strategy.
The group had it encircled pretty well, so he wasn't really moving around much.
OK Rule #1 with melee andnew Krayts.... you cannot attack them head-on. That was my mistake in the beginning. And yes I had CoB in a continual loop.
I found that if I snuck up behind him, did a warcry, got a few licks in and then ran out of attack range I could last a good while.
So yes you can be a fencer and go on Krayt hunts. But don't do it for XP, I think I got less than 100 for all that work.

Back before the Krayts became what they are today, I used to love tanking them head on. It didn't matter that I didn't do much damage or got as much XP as the rest of the group. I just enjoyed holding the Krayt in one spot while everyone else hit it with the big guns. It was so much better than chasing a couple grauls kiting theKraytall over the graveyard. We took outhalf adozen one night with me as the tank.
Now..... I dunno anymore. Krayts are just evil now, as they should be.
We should have us a big ol' Shadowfire Fencer krayt hunt!

krayts is soloable ! ive seen many MHS takeing them down easy, also saw a Carbineer .)
