Thread: New Fencer Question on Weapon Choice

I am a new fencer (0/1/0/2) and I was wondering what weapon is preferred (other than the Stun Baton for PvP)? I assume that other then the stun baton, we get kinetic weapons, but which is best for me now as a noob and later as I get stronger?

I preferred a good speed sliced curved sword early on since it had decent accuracy and speed. As you finish out the footwork line, your speed is much better and you can start working with a Gaffi stick, probably weould be safe with a damage sliced one there. Acklay stun batons become the norm for PvP due to the state of armor.

A vibroblade is our only ap1 weapon....so if you get into a tussle wit an npc with an armor rating, and is somewhat weak to kinetic, have one handy, my 180 max vibro far outdamages my 315 max gaffi in these situations, and its a faster weapon.

I just figured this one out last night. Sent a gmail to my fav WS and put in an order for a few with Nym's enhancements. Thanks for the input!
