Thread: Question about ranged and melee migitation

I'm new at Fencer (just got novice today) and I apologize for the semi-newbie question, but I could not find the answer to this if it was already posted. Does ranged migitation only work with a ranged weapon and melee migitation only work with a melee weapon? Or are they both always active?

The answer from the devs was that they where passive skills that' always active no matter what weapon you hold. But some people have said they have run tests that show this is not the case. Now I have never seen the numbers of these tests and it's possible that they misstook the unarmed/1h/2h/pole toughness (which only works with the correct weapon equiped) for damage migitation.

Until I have seen good tests with numbers to back them up I will take the devs word for it and assume it's always active.
