I know that the only way to get one of these is to do Jabba's Theme Park and then bork the last mission for him. I find it off that the weapon cert. that we get for 1-hand 4 is the Rantok, but the only way to get one for yourself is to not finish Jabba's last mission. I want to be able to have a good one crafted so that I can use it in combat. The looted one right now is only good for sticking on your wall as a decoration. I think that this is the coolest looking weapon in the game right now.

Now my question is, is there a schematic out there that might be a loot item for this? Is there any other professions in the game that have main weapons that can only be received by cheating the system (placing the Rantok in your backpack and retaking the mission)?

If this is the case I would think that this would have to be fixed and make it craftable. What is everyone's feelings on this?

Call me a noob, but how do you get one of these? I am bored and looking for something to do.

The way you get this is to do Jabba's theme park. If you do a search on these boards I am sure that you can find all kinds of info on it. When you get to Jabba's last mission he sends you out to get a "trophy". You open the container and it is the Rantok. It is really cool looking but the damage and speed are not nearly as good as a curved sword. I am not sure on the stats but it is AP0. When you get the Rantok, just place it in your backpack and go back to Jabba. Talk to him and tell him that you cannot finish the quest. Get the mission again, and again until you get bored with it and you have all the Rantok's you can handle. Just leave the last one you get in your regular inventory when you talk to Jabba and he will finish the quest.

No there are no schematics for the Rantok. Only way to get it is to do the Jabba missions put it in your pack or a droid, then go back retake the mission. Rinse, recycle, repeat for additional swords.

Is it that no one has found the schematic or that it is not actually in the game?

There actually is no schematicin game for the Rantok.

That sucks. Potentially the coolest weapon in the game is non-producable by weaponsmiths.

Well I got an official response from one of the CSR's on this topic. He said that it is not currently in the game. Does that mean that it is in the works?

Well, if they upped the stats of the Rantok, it might be worth it. As it is now, this weapon is pretty much useless except for decoration, or just to show off to others who don't have one.

As far as combat goes, this weapon is probably the worst, if not one of the worst, weapons a fencer can use.

This has been a request of fencers since the game was released but there has never been a reply from the devs. It is generally considered that is a Master Weaponsmith got hold of a schematic for it you could get a very nice weapon.
