I am a master tk(for the dizzy/kd) a master heavy swords(for the raw damage output) and a master brawler(20sec delay and intim2). All i need now is defenses. What is the best tree in fencer to get for defeses? Yes I realize this is dabbling and I will probably get flamed by all of the "hardcore" fencers, but oh well

They're sort of split between 4 lines. No one line has all the def stats in it.
Stancing and grips has the ranged and melee defense.
Footwork has the Kd and posture change def, with some dodge.
Techniques has blind,dizzy,inimidate and dodge.
While Finesse has combat equilibrium.
So its your choice basically. But i'd go for techniques, the dizzy def is great, who cares if you get KDed when you get straight back up lol.

i'd personally ditch the Fencing Finesse line as combat equilibrium and fencing accuracy aren't as important as all the other defenses

This is fine an dandy to be honest what your doing for now. But in the next publish or possibly the one after that. Combat defence stacking goes out the window I would say your combat defence stacking with Melee, ranged, dodge, counter, block, def vs (stun, dizzy, kd, posture change, indimidate as others) will no longer stack with other elite professions or hybrid. Those days are being counted down its already offical by some dev posts that this will change.
The bonuses to Brawler + Elite profession will stack as intended.

Come on now.... just look at the trees! they are all green, but one is more green than the others for the defense stacking!!

Where and when was this post made i'd like to see it.
I don't have the link to show you. But I kinda have an idea when by what was stated.
Devs said when the combat update for ham is in place, thats when it goes in affect. So this would mean publish 7 at earlies, to publish 8 at latest. It's comming, so just letting ya know. They aready took care of Dodge, counter attack an block.

Have they? haven't noticed a bit of difference since the patch went through, oh well if this the only change to dodge then i'm happy
