Hi. I am going to be picking up fencer probably tomorrow. I was wondering what the most efficent way to climb the tree's would be?

I was think of Footwork to 4 then Techniques to 4. Or Footwork 1, tech 1, then footwork 4 then tech 4.

I will probably be doing most my leveling on Quenkers and Huurtons.

Thanks for your time all. I tried looking in the FAQ post but didnt see anything like this listed.

It's funny.... Up until this afternoon, I was wondering why everyone said to go up footwork first. I was 1/3/2/2. Doing decent, solo'd a jedi initiate in a duel and did quite well (didn't DB him, I have honor). Well, a bounty hunter was going to kill him so he ran, but I understand. Still, he was on the floor & dizzy, so.... *ahem* I digress.....

I hit footwork 4 today, and let me tell you something: I was using a 3.5 damage sliced gaffi since I was 1/1/1/1, and I'd hit hard, but with a lot of lag between swings. Now, every time a special ends, the new one begins instantly. It actually flows so smooth, someone asked me if it was one special that went on for 20 seconds.

So yeah, get footwork first. Land a few bodyhit2s all in a row, and you'll see why.

Going up to Footwork 4 first is a definite yes. Even though bleeds are all but useless now, the speed mods are very useful. After that, it's a tossup between Techniques and Stances; either is good. Personally, I went up Footwork, then alternated between Stances and Techniques. Finesse just came whenever I got the necessary combat xp.

Nezrik,

I've just started Fencer myself and having some difficulty trying to figure out what mobs to kill and what not. I don't have any armor and prefer it that way and I was hunting down quenkers. I can manage to drop 1 or 2, but seem to struggle otherwise. I've made it to footwork 1 and almost up to stances 1. Gonna stay on Dantooine and alternate myself between huurtons and quenkers and throw in a piket mission or two for variety.

I leveled Ua and Swordsman on Dantooine doing Quenker and Huurton missions and never really had a problem taking them down at all. I am a Master Doc so I am always fully buffed. I also never wear armor just cause i dont like the encumbrance is lame, but I also dont care for the looks wither.

Footwork first, then work your way to bodyhit 3, and it should be easy from there=P (Then I'd master Stances for defense)
