Thread: Dizzy/KD Stealth Nerf?
Then I dueled a Pikeman. I dizzied him and lunged him countless times. Other than the measly damage done by the attack, there was no effect? He got on his knees but were able to get up successfully with no problems? Is it just me or is something wrong? Was it just my own bad luck? (I lost this one too)
dont sapm lunge or any KD/posture change for that matter
\the first will knock them down but the next will 'knock them up'
then all the next ones for the next 30 sec do nothing

it's an issue with combat equilibrium. If the equilibrium fires, they immediately stand back up regardless of dizzy or anything else. Also I'd like to add that spamming lunge1 is pointless. If you connect with the attack and they dont go down...I'm pretty sure you got a 30sec timer before you can do it again.
With the latest patch,I've heardthat they added an inate combat equilibrium to all players now. This probably plays some role in seeing the KD/dizzy strategy become less effective. What CE does is increase the chances of someone being able to resist/recover from the dizzy state and regain their feet. Also, I believe many players are getting keen to the fact that getting up from a dizzy isn't as hard as many people think it is if you take the proper actions (or lack there of for those that know what I'm talking about lol).
On the carbineer forums, some people think that our dizzy is still broken (though it's not), just as some TKA think it is, etc. I think what people are really seeing is an increase in CE for their targets, which seems like their attackis less effective. My guess is that this was kind of stealthfully put into the game to accompany the warcry nerf. The devs are intent on extending the time a combative encounter takes place. They flat out want fights to last longer than a few seconds. Taking some of the likelyhood that a combatant will be hit with a KD/dizzy/warcry will most definately keep them in the fight longer.
As for the warcry nerf, the way it works now is that the delay will bebroken if the delayed individual takes any damage. The supposed proper use of warcry now is to use it as an area attack that will allow you to delay multiple targets while you fight one of them. For example, you use warcry on 3 targets, then attack one of them. The 2 that you do not attack will remain delayed while the one you attack will not. This will keep the 2 delayed targets from hitting you and let you focus on one of them at a time.
