I'm 4-0-0-0 Brawler (and TKM)right now and I wanted to get up to Novice Fencer. Does fencer weapons work like the Vibro Knucler? I remember when I was trying to pick up novice TKA, I could use the vibro knuckler to increase my speed (with a speed slice) and thus increase my damage output over time so i could get Novice TKA quicker.
Does this work with Fencer? If so what weapon would be best/worksthis way.
Thank you

Your best bet for grinding fencer is to get a good gaffi stick (gaderaffi baton). A good gaffi for grinding would be max damage over 200 and spead no greater than 3.0. I find that dire cats on corellia give the best xp for novice grinding, but you gotta watch out for group aggro. As far as the exact response to your question, it probably does work that way with the speed, but the BEST weapon for fencers (unfortunately) is the gaffi stick and it's given to you at one-handed 1. Find a good one, and go to town.

Actually, from what i've heard, it is better to use a good fast curved sword until you get footwork 4(in fencer), and then you can use a gaffi stick, which does more damage, without having the disadvantage of having aslow weapon. As for PvP, if you are a PvP'er, you should use a stun baton for people that have composite, because composite has no stun protection. You can use your judgement about the curved sword thing, because i just heard that from a friend, but i know for a fact that stun batons are good for PvP.

Thanks for your responses, yet I don't think you answered my question.
If you've ever done TKA, you'd know that you can use a Vibro Knuckler BEFORE you even get the cert at Novice TKA (so you can use the Vibro Knucler in unarmed I-IV for brawler, yet only the speedof the knuclerwould effect battle). I was wondering if this was the same for working on One-handed I-IV for brawler, eg. i pick up a stun baton, get it speed sliced, and the speed would only effect the way I fought before I got the cert.
Did that make sense?
