so, just for converstation.

i have spoken out against the dabbling of tk...mostly in that people pick up meditate 4 and maybe some def from tk and that's it. it enraged me that a jack of no trades could wipe a master of anything up... by stacking defs vs. xxx , ranged and melee.. blah, blah, blah. well, after the mention of the lowering of required skill points for BH, they were in an uproar about moving jedi missions to master and other such things... i always said that moving FOW to master was a fair move. but while reading the bhs rant about others dabbling easily in their proff i was left thinking "how egotistical you must be, how elitist and greedy" then i laughed cause i have said the same things... so, i must give in to the notion that to dabble is to strive for variety and diverstity, even though allowing the "FOTM" constructions, to change it would only lead to a specific proff to have the upper hand... so, in closing: i am now of the opinion that a)tkm still rocks!! b)what you do with your points is really the challenge... beating quenkers up is just the means... not the end.

so, what do you think?

My thoughts exactly. I like how the game allows you to be creative with the proffesions you choose. I find it challenging and very rewarding trying out different combinations. I pay no attention to what other people suggest I become or what is the flavor this month, they don't play the way I do, they sure as hell don't pay my $15. Restricting dabbling will in no way affect the mindless copycatters or alleviate the crybabies who cry that they can't beat them. All it will do is get rid of the fun associated with being creative.

I don't mind dabblers at all. Sure I get an icky feeling when I hear someone say "I'm gonna pick up this and that and that so I can OWN in PvP and solo EVERYTHING in the game," but like you said, they're paying the $15, they can do as they please. I think its just the attitude that people go about dabbling that matters to me. I for one don't really like dabbling that much. I like to master the professions I choose to take up. No particular reason, it just feels right. I'm not huge on PvP, as you might be able to tell. But I've been able to get my defense mods up in the lower hundreds without dabbling so thats fine with me.

I don't really dabble much- I mastered both TKA and dancer back in autumn last year, and never dropped either - but dabbling gives you more options, which is usually a good thing, as long as you have real options, meaningthe difference between a dabbler and a master is big enough to make master worthwhile, but not so big as to make master a requirement.

well "dodge like a god" only works using a pistol and a one hand weapon, you'll want lines 4040 or most do
