15,000,072 squills later ... I have mastered the art of fencing. Being a fencer iRL this was an important task for me although, I am not so sure anyone at SOE fences. Anyway, I actually do have a question and my question is this ... at what point does the speed on the weapon cease to matter in DOT? It seems that weapons with speed 1.4 vs 1.6 have nearly equal DOT ... is this correct? Is there a minimum speed cap for fencing?

Welcome Aboard, congrats.
Fencers max on speed on all special moves up to a weapon speed of 3.6-4.0 depending on the move.
Even then the difference is a half a second at most.
You do damage once per second at the fastest.
