Ive heard a LOT of people talk about how good Swordsman is against PvE. But i have two people in my guild, one is a Swordsman, one is TKA, and in the Geo caves and corvette and such my TKA buddy OWNS EVERYTHING, where as the swordsman guy is not too hot.

Now im working on a Mbrawler/Mfencer/TKM template at the moment but my main priority will be PVE and some people are starting to sway my views.

What would you recommend?

Could a fencer/tkm/brawler solo a NS elder like a Master Fencer/swordsman supposedly can??

NS Elders have heavy armor, vulnerable to lightsaber damage, 25% resists to energy and blast, and 100% resistant to everything else.As a fencer or tkm, you don't have any weapons that can do damage to them.

Swordsman is widly considered the best class for PVE. You need access to the Armor Piercing 2, and the blast damage. Any guy that camps anything like the Alkalay, Krayts, etc and out damages you and your group is probably swordsman using a power hammer at the speed cap. It has no equal, and Rifleman is the only thing close.

I've played all the class you've talked about, and swordsman is by far the best for PVE that I've played.

Rifleman/Swordsman/TKA 4004, when speed capped on the rifles and swords, and with some excellent (but not necessarily Exceptional/Uber weapons) = PvE killing machine. Kinda weak in some of the defenses, but you have access to the most damaging non-Exceptional weapons in the game.

I loved fencer when I had it, but for PvE it just didn't compare to swords.

I am Master Rifleman / Master Swordsman and yes in PvE I am practically indestructable. Not becuase I have high defenses, but because from 65m down to 0m I can dish out 2500 - 5000 mind damage every second.

Very few NPCs can take that lol

M Fencer/ M swords/ M brawler/4003 tka and novice medic is my template. You get pretty good state defense, capped on melee defense, almost capped on ranged defense,have intim 2, warcry2 and also get the speed/accuracy bonuses you get with master brawler. Overall it works pretty effectively in pve and you can do some pvp with it if you like.

Ok thanks for the advice guys. Im not a big fan of marksman proffesions so ill think ill pass on the rifleman but this is the template im planning on going for:

Master Swordsman For PVE

Master Fencer for PVP

TKA 4000 for meditate

and some med and scout skill to help me out.

Tell me what you think please as i dont want to be going back on anything once i get there.

I know i could master TKA instead of Fencer for PVP but EVERYONE and there mother is TKA so i thought id be different
