Thread: So I just voted in the Bestine election...

Alright, I have heard on previous posts about a weapon drop for fencers doing the bestine election. Me and Friend voted the other night and were told that if we came back after the election, whoever won the election got a nice reward. First off, how am I supose to know when the election is over? Can anyone give me a idea when the election ends and the new one begins. And do we really get a "mace" from doing this election.

These are the kinds of questions that should be posted in this forum. Good Job!
I have heard that a special fencer weapon could drop during this quest, however, I havealso heard that the chances of that drop happeningare extremely low. (You have a better chance of getting eaten by a Shark in Arizona!)
I am not sure when the voting ends. I would guess that it would happen after a patch and it looks like a couple of people were disappointed that it didn't happen after this last one.
On a side note, I have also heard of a special black gaffi stick being dropped by Tusken Executioners.

see the thing is.... no one knows what you have to do and what the variables are in order to have the mace awarded to you. I assume its to vote for Viktor but to be honest i'm not sure, seeing as that no one that posts on the forums has gotten one we are still kinda in the dark as how to get it.

this seems intriguing, wonder what kind of damage the weapon would do and where the cert would be placed.

I'll give it a shot and vote for Viktor, and see what happens. Doesn't hurt to try, right?

Well I am hoping that me and my friend voting for different people will lead to one of us getting the mace. I pray to god that it has some sort of ap value to it with damage high enough that it's reasonable to use.
I will get back to everyone on this, but I have to figure out when the election ends!!!

I was wandering around the hall where the two guys (Sean and Victor) are and there was an npc in one of the side rooms that said how long there was left... She said more than two weeks, that was on Bloodfin.
However, I'm not sure if that was the time left until the election ends or starts...

I think that the NPC to whom you are referring is the Mayor (I was in there yesterday, myself). The current election is over. The next one starts at some point in the future, more than two weeks away.

No worries. We'll only figure it out if everyone throws out whatever they find. Just because that wasn't the right direction doesn't mean the next thing you notice won't be.
