When i went fencer a friend gave me one, i don't know how good it is though compared to others out there, mines stats are...
Alertness: 3
Melee Defence: 4
One Handed Weapon Evasion: 3
Defence Vs. Stun: 16
Is this any good or should ibe looking for a better one?

Alertness and one-handed weapon evasion are worthless skill mods.....evasion doesn't work, and alertness doesn't really help anything.
basically you have a standard bio-engineered shirt with +4 melee defense and +16 stun defense.......which is nice, but is very common. Sorry

+24 One Handed Damage
+7 One handed speed
+10 Melee Defence
+8 Counter attack
+24 One Handed Damage
+7 One handed speed

Yikes. Definitely nice, high stat mods, but unfortunately most don't work at the moment. 1h damage is still on the lost of "not working". Speed is currently capped for all weapons for all attacks at master, but may well be needed in the future after the combat revamp. The melee defense is awesome and definitely a great bonus.Counter attack doesn't work when you have a fencer weapon equipped, but, you do have the counter attack mod that works if you have a swordsmen or carbineer weapon equipped. The other counter attack mods, 1h, 2h, etc still do not work also.
Working mods for fencers that are useful are dodge and melee defense at the moment, speed may be useful in the future with dual wielding or if our weapon speed is adjusted.

Well, Mine is...
+17 def vs Stun (BE)
+4 melee defense (BE)
+5 1-hand melee speed (actually, i dont think your speed is capped while you are stunned, which is a common jedi attack)
+14 def vs Knockdown
+12 def vs Dizzy
+9 def vs Posture Down
Those seem to be the most effective attachments atm for a fencer, barring dodge, which is in my bandolier
Between having pistoleer 1040, I have an insane amount of Defense vs States.
