Well, I finally did it :-)

I made Master Fencer on Kettemoor this morning.

I was wondering if anyone else has made master on my server? I know Zareo and Quil might be close, but I have met very few fencers. Just wondering if anyone knows

I would also like to know what your strategy was as far as what you worked on 1st etc.

Nice to know there are fencers lurking about in Kettemoor.. To date, I've only known of Zareo, and Evia. And I've only met one of them, in passing. I'll keep my eye out for all of you when I go looking for training.

As for when I truely noticed a difference? Footwork 4.

I am a master brawler, novice heavy swordsman, novice pikeman. So I started up the Melee tree with 17 more Melee defense than someone who just races straight for fencer. I would highly recommend the same to anyone who is serious about being a fencer. At the Least, go master brawler.

Going up the fencer tree, the first was by far the hardest. I went up footwork first. But when I got to footwork 4, the game got much MUCH easier.

Health hit 1 + 2 Do stack. And they stack for almosy 1200-1400 points of bleeding damage every 5-6 seconds or so. I would exp by attacking groups of whites/easy yellows in three. I'd use Lunge 2 (from master rbawler) to keep them all stunned (if you are not aware, knockdown prevents someone from attacking for 8-10 seconds even if they stand back up) and then stack bleeds on all three. Lunge 2 is extremely efficent for HAM costs and they would all bleed to death shortly.

By the time I was finishing up Techniques. ( my last tree) I was soloing for roughly 60-80k an hour (no I won't tell you where :-) explore for yourself. The advanced planets are full of wonderful places for fencers)


My current plan however is to gain TKA to open up their precision striking tree for a place to dump future combat xp into, and add the defensive from each of the other three brawler elite classes to my knowledge.

However. I am beginning to think that I may be able to lay the claim to being the first Master fencer on Kettemoor :-) I hope so. Please. if anyone knows of any others please correct me.

hey bro CONGRATS!!! now serriously though can you give a rough idea of where you really started seeing a difference in char? I'm working on footwork 1st, would you suggest anything else instead or have any helpful hints for the rest of us? what is damage like at this lv and how about speed?

congrats Evia... not sure if you remember me... i was Whitessa but i moved over to bloodfin to play with some friends... good to know that you kept at it... it was fun playing with you when i was on kettemore... i'm halfway to master fencer on bloodfin.. and when i finally get the patiencec to finish all the mastery in unarmed, twohanded and polearm i will be master brawler... i was also thinking about getting all the other defensive stats in the other branches as well for when they get fixed properly... once again congratulations

Congradulations!! I am working on one armed sword right now. I am almost ready to get the 4th level. I believe I am at 54,000 and something maybe a little higher. I want to become a master fencer. Gives me something to hope for that it is achievable. Awesome.

And to answer your question in game the other day (right before I went Afk and then link dead) I still do the Roleplay thing, :-) I am part of a great RP guild and have met lots of good RP'ers on Kettemoor.

Well..I finally made it too Evia!!!

Not too bad, a couple of master fencers on Kettemoor now and both roleplayers.

Fencing may have it's problems, but I really love being a fencer, enjoyed reaching master and didnt feel like I was grinding at all.

Now I'm going to fish for a few days and just smile to myself.
