Thread: New Fencer Special Attack Suggestions:
Hello Fellow Fencers;
I wanted to stop in and start a thread about what specials we might like to see implemented for fencers so that our new correspondent has a single place to look for this info once they get started. Please post your suggestions about what you might like to see implemented and which attacks you have now that you don't feel are worthwhile (ie: could be replaced by new ones).

I really feel there is a need to make fencers a little more viable vs. people with ranged weapons so here goes:

My suggestion:
I really feel there is a need to make fencers a little more viable vs. people with ranged weapons so here goes:
Hamstring Attack: Causes target to become rooted in place for XX # of seconds.
I think that this might be a nice way for us to be granted the ability to keep a target withing range, now that you have to wait so long on lunge/dizzy. I don't feel that this would be imbalancing as all it prevents people from doing is running away, they can still attack and so forth.

I'd like to see something akin to a Flurry of Blows. Basically, the Fencer uses their normal attack several times in immediate succession. It's a bit draining on the action and it has a moderate delay afterwards, buti t does *very* nice damage. (On top of that, the hit percentageshould becalculated for each swing seperately).
On top of that, perhaps there could be a stance that you could settle into once in a rare time that would greatly increase your dodge/counterattack abilities, but reduce your attacking potential (if it still exists). Sorta like settling back into a defensive stance and anticipating your enemy's moves, then responding properly to them, instead of just standing there hacking away.
As for our moves...Dizzy is kinda worthless now, ever since it's KD potential has been nerfed to hell and back. Blind's still decent, but I hear that people are having more problems landing it now.
