Thread: Fellow Fencers, I am in dire need of some input...
Hi all, I am a Bothan Blademaster on Shadowfire, and I have only recently been informed that Rodians get a +10 one-handed accuracy and a +15 blind defence mods. Imust notethat there has been much work put into becoming the fencer that I am, to give details:
Master Brawler, Master Fencer, TKA 0/0/0/2 (with xp for 0/0/0/4), Novice Swordsman (with xp for 0/0/1/0), Novice Pikeman (with xp for 0/0/1/0)
however, it is my ambition to be the best possible fencer this game has to offer, and quite frankly being a bothan sucks. There is not a single benefit save for appearance that is advantageous to bothans. So basically, should I create a totally new character, and redo all of my hard work? or should i just find a way to live with my much better looking yet slightly weaker character?

Btw, if such be the case thatI was to actually start anew, could any of you Shadowfire fencers help me with the item transition? I have a collection of finely crafted weaponry, and several other goodies that i'd hate to go to waste (ie 15 crates of muon gold, 30 crates of -mind cost/+min dmg weapon pups, a pa hall)
Thank you Rro, and no worries about yesterday,all that happened was that me and the other 3 rebels who were overt got beat to hell.
Just to justify my reasoning, here are the bothan stats: +10 cover, +10 camoflauge
BY FAR the worst race-related skill mods in the game. i mean, wow, talk about crappy. (human is bad too, but they get imperial fp cost reductions, so at least theres a point in being human)
And I've actually decided to not restart the character. Now, all I will do is focus my efforts towards unlocking that blasted fscs...

Those sound like some pretty good attributes to have but not enough to make me want to give up being Zabrak. With everyone always hollering about the mind useage, I'm glad I've got innate abilities like Vitalize which is like a mini-buff for all three main stats and my favorite, Equilibrium. It equalizes your 3 stat bars which can fill your mind to well over half if you have full health. If you are buffed, look out. Bam! Full mind bar all at once.It has gotten me out of many situations on Dathomir fighting againstthose that focus on mind attacks and DB. (ahem... Nightsister Rangers and Singing Mountain Clan Dragoons)
Sorry about yesterday. I had some things to do and PVP is not very high on my list of priorities. In fact, it's not even on that list and probably never will be which is why I'm moving away from Anchorhead as soon as my large house is ready. Probably gonna move out to where our city will be located. A nice quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the daily gankfest.

Personally I would just go with him.. Sure you may not be the most powerful Melee Character you could have been due to racial enhancements but remember not everyone that Masters Fencer is also Master Brawler so right there they lose skills points as well. I picked Rodian to gain that enhancement and because they were not an extremely common race on the server at the time.
Sounds like you have invested alot of work into your character.. I would just go with it, unless you are just burned out on playing him. I made Nov. BH on another server and it just got so dull started my Fencer Path on another server and am enjoying him 100% more.
My suggestion is if he is fun keep him.
