+25 1 Handed Speed Tape:
Will this improve my speed? (I have Footwork 4)
Will this improve my speed if the speedcap is lowered?

Once you hit Footwork 4, this tape is useless as you will hit the speedcap with any weapon 6.6 speed or lower.
This is best used by a newer fencer, I suggest selling it.

I too am a Master Ranger working on Master Fencer though I am only at 1/1/1/1 in fencer atm. How is it working out? What do you plan to use your other 18 points on? I was going to CH to have a decent tank with me, but with the proposed nerf to CH it will pretty much be a waste or points now. Also I am a wookiee so I was thinking of picking up marksman and rifle 1 to increase my skill with my bowcaster. What do you think?
Alas i am not the owner of this tape a friend was bidding on it for me, the current top bid is 1 Million. I told him i didn't think i really needed it due to Footwork 4 but told him i would confirm this by asking you guy's here. Thankyou all for your input.
Like alot of info in these forums, this is heresay.
However, while I dont doubt that the speed cap is hit with the footwork line, it has been mentioned that the speed cap is not reached with specials. Specials have there own speed modifyers, so a auto-attack may hit once every 4 seconds and a specal will hit every 6. So you may not hit the speed cap with specials and the tape would be of beenifit.
I would love to be albe to run tests on this, however im a bit short of the 1,000,002

Hi, and Yes, i'm having a ton of fun with fencer! The fencer boards have some really excellent posts on the profession, such as leveling, weapons, armor, etc.
I'd suggest staying in the Footwork tree until you master it, then go back and fill in Stances and Grips for the defenses. (There are rumors of major increases to this line, but nothing has gone live yet.)
I wouldn't put any effort into other combat skills yet, since you'll need ALL the combat exp you can get to finish mastering Fencer. Putting it in other skills (like I did a few days ago, when a dude was training me in medic, then sawI had another skill to train, offered it and I gave awaycombat XP - owwww) Again: save ALL combat XP for Fencer Finesse Skills!!!
One you get the bleed move (Melee1hHealthHit1) at Footwork 1 it goes soooo much faster. You can bleed and kite animals , esp. if you trap with a slowdown dart first!
My combat macro is Dizzy, Lunge, Bleed, Blind, andMelee1hHit2. Spam the last one until the creature dies or I run outta HAM, then its back to a whackfest.
There is a 30 sec (?) counter on Lunge posture changes, if they work at all. So don't lunge again until dizzy wears off, at least.
With the ranger creature ID we have, I always check for vulnerabilities before attacking and switch to the best weapon. The Stun Baton works well on many creatures and NPC's, few are resistant. I've had Weaponsmiths Woofie and Homerr make nice weapons for me, and I always slice and use powerups (reduced mind cost, generally.) Weapons are pretty cheap (compared to the uber-pistols and such out there) so buy extras, and use the best slice. You'll still benefit from a speed slice until you get to Footwork 3, then you hope fordamage slices. Gaffi Baton is the best overall weapon, stun baton for kinetic resistant types.
Armor: I use Ubese with an extra kinetic layer, sliced for HAM. However, I found out the extra layer does add HAM cost, so I might not get it in the next set I buy and slice.
