Thread: DO U THINK?
currenty im a almost master fencer/Ch/Medic but the only way i can last in pvp is get in confined areas .Even with pets they seem to blast me first then work on the pet,my approach is running at them while pet is working on them but even with composite there still killing me before i get to them...do u think the upcomming changes will affect it that much that i woulnt have to drop ch and go for a ranged attk or should i go for the melle bonuses though brawler or the TkA line,i tought id like the Ch with using the pet to close the gap with kiters but i hate having to fight in small areas,dont get me wrong PVE Ch is great but i eventually want to end up with a strong pvp combo,maybe i just doing someting wrong but when i do get in 5m of them on the move ,i get that u cannot see ur target even while running beside them,while hes using stopping shot on me or whatever...any suggestions would be great or should i try someting else with fencing?...was thinking trying pistol or maybe even doc or thought about a intersting combo of /fencer combat medic of using poison while running at them or before the lunge dizzy combo...but most time if i dont change posture first time its over within 3 min or less hehe....thks for u guys and gals help...

You're in a tricky spot because melee is "difficult" in PvP at the moment.The idea of using pets to hunt down kiters is a good one.
You may not like it, but my advice is to break Line of Sight (using walls etc) to kiters while your Pets hunt them down. It may not be a terribly pretty way to beat someone, but it will work better than running straight at them while they kite you.
That meansif they want to kill you, they have to COME TO YOU. Thats important because thats exactly want....close combat. Thats what I would do in your situation.
Best tactic I ever found in PVP was to make them not go after you specifically... by useing pets and distractions such as barages of fire from ranged fighters.
To this day my favorite experiance PVP was the Last Day of Beta raid on Anchorhead where 100 PC Rebels fought off 300 PC Imps by holding the plateau and not being lured into their line, while melees flanked from each side bleeding and knocking them down.
Oh how much fun it was to bleed retarget bleed retarget bleed retarget Imp after Imp after Imp.

try macro a PvP starter, mine is like this:
/follow; /warcry1;/melee1hlunge1; /melee1hblindhit2; /melee1hHealthHit1 ; /melee1hHealthHit2;
/melee1hdizzyhit2;
If you are master brawler, then you can use lunge2 which knock down the target. After this string, just base on your situation on how to end them, if there are multiple targets, engage others, let him bleed to death.
I am using a gadariffi baton with 282 max damage, i can bleed anyone player for 400+ easy
note:1h scatter hit go through all the defense mod of a TKM, use it wisely and you can beat a TKM
Was just gonna ask the same question, I haven't seen it's effect PVE, just the PVP effectin PVE I've stuck with health hits and bleed as my primary damage dealing.
