Okay so I'm going into my drawing program shortly with a rough idea of what I was thinking of here in text terms are two different ideas.

1st:Reflective Scales shaped like teardrops with individual PSG's (low power arm specific) in each scale,mounted overlaping from fingers to shoulder with a cushioning. providing major flexibility but localized protection, this would possibly be simply defined as a bonus to 1hand Melee Toughness rating dependant on the quality, but because the overlapping scales support eachother it could have a long term durability... maybe even power it like a droid.

2nd: Reflective smoothtwo piece hard plateing (think comp Bracer and Bicep only with only the outter half being plated, inner arm side would look like comp background.) Below the hard reflective coating is a PSG that like above gives bonus to 1 Hand Melee Toughness, but because of the large size availible for durable circuitry with a padded layer between the PSG circuity and the outter shell forming more endurance for the device.

Off to the drawing board.

I think I could come up with a valid crafting template as well... each would include a couple of PSG's at least as componants.

But niether would be classic "Shields" and would work well with the purpose of our regularly outstretched left arm.

Unfortunately, if they ever add shields to us, there is almost certainly something they can use from the "Star Wars Extended Universe" which is the tons and tons of books and comics etc that have been created outside of the movies. They have been trying to keep with the "Extended Universe" where possible, it's official and such-and-such. Sorry to stifle creative genius, it is society making me do it I swear!

Actually I've seen "Most" of the Extended univers, and nothing I've seen fits graphically or logically with our style/stance.

Yes there are shields in EP1, yes there is maybe one other refrence to a hand held shield between all the EU books... but our stance/style doesn't fit with shield stances/styles.

And an appropriate arm guard useing EU technology as a basis doesn't seem too far fetched.
