Thread: whats the ay to get fencing xp at 1-1-1-1?
There are plenty of threads on this subject, but here's what I did:
I migrated my stats heavily towards mind. I always got full Doc buffs (usually at 5K...the first mission pays for them), and bought crates of Muon Gold and Fishak (again, paid for in the first few missions). I also wear a full set of 70% Ubese, with an 'undershirt' that has +med BEmodifiers, and some other skill tapes on it
Go to your favourite SP/mission terminal on Dantooine (I'm usually at the Imp Outpost), and get Huurton Huntress missions. They generally pay out 7k-8k. Get two of them. Go to the first, there should be 2 huurton Huntresses hanging out by the lair. Spice/food on, Smack each one with a bleed. Once they are both bleeding, give each one a little blind/dizzy/lunge loving, and then just spam your best attack..should be 1H hit 2 at that point, right?
They should go down fairly quickly...then hit the lair ONCE. Two more pop out. Repeat above. Then knock lair down to about 50% Two more pop out, again, repeat above. The lair is now free game, so go to town.
In all, these missions should take a 1/1/1/1 fencer about 4 minutes each with buffs...zero downtime, and you should get on average 5 Full grown Huntresses (you'll often get a 'baby' so no full 6), plus the lair. If you are grouped with a pet, they are worth 4300 XP each (lair about 3500). Do the math 1 mission = 25K XP.
A Tier 2 box will then take only 10 missions. 250K XP in about 90-120 minutes, depending on your travel rate.
I'm serious here...I was stalled at 1/1/1/1 until I read this, and it's just SILLY XP.
Now, some folks don't like to/have a hard time getting Doc buffs...In that case, I would recommend getting Tat. Sunburns and Muon. Take the easier 'regular' Huurton missions...they have about the same # of huurtons per mission, but they are only worth 1700 XP each (and much easier). MUCH slower, but quite easy.
Now, if you go with the easier method, once you get 1/3/1/1, you'll get the lovely 1H Spin 2. I personally feel this is a very underrated attack. Once I picked it up, I stopped getting missions, and simply ran around the Dant. Countryside, looking for non-mission huurton packs (they are called 'brambles' as opposed to 'A Huurton Huntress Lair'). These puppies spawn something like 25 Huurtons. I'd run up to one, and just start smacking the lair. 8 huurtons pop out. Give any of the high HAM once a little bleed loving, and then just spam that 1H Spin 2 goodness! It usually dishes out 1200-1500 Damage to EACH MOB surrounding you, plus gives them all a nice blind.
I recently found two of these next to each other, and when all was said and done, I had killed 10 regular huurtons, 25 Huntresses, 10 Howlers, and 5 babies, plus the two lairs in 15 minutes, for a grand total of 170K XP
Don't get discouraged...Fencer at the low levels can seem to be agonizingly slow...but it really ramps up quickly...you'll soon love it like the rest of us do!
I should clarify that at 1/1/1/1, I was using BODY Hit 2 more extensively...not 1H Hit 2. Body hit, while it does less damage,goes after the Health pool exclusively. 1H Hit 2 is not pool specific.
There also are plenty of other ways to progress through Fencer, this was just my personal one (and IMHO most efficient at this level). Once you get 1/4/3/x, many suggest hitting the Tusken Camps on tat, as you should have ZERO problem there...but I do NOT suggest it at 1/4/1/1, unless you have friends healing/rezzing there ![]()
