After mastering 12 other professions, I decided Fencer was my next endevour.

The first few levels of brawler were not bad, but 1h 4 and the grind to novice Fencer were a bit frustrating.

As such, I wanted to share afew nifty things I've learned along the way that may help those working on or towards Fencer.

1. The golden rule of xp - When fighting solo, always group your pet. I don't even use my pet most of the time, but the xp bonus of having him grouped with me is very nice.

2. Slice your weaps, get doc buffs, carry lots of spice.

3. BE cloths are your friend. I have a shirt that adds +13 to Warcry and Intimidatation, and it seems to make a huge difference in how often those abilities stick. There are several other good BE enhanced cloths you can get as well, including bleed defense, melee defense, etc.. If you haven't looked into BE enhanced cloths, you should.

The primary reason I wanted to post this info, was to share with everyone a mob that is both easy to kill and good xp. Slice Hounds on Corellia.

Missions for Slice hounds are in the 2100 cred range, so you may need a decent pet, another person, or another high level weap skill to get them.

The normal Slice Hounds have just over 1k HAM, and only take a few good hits to kill (later on they are 1 shot wonders). If you group with a pet or another person, you will get 1246xp per Slice hound. The female Slice Hounds only give 500ish, but every little bit helps.

If only a few babies spawn, I usually end up with a bit over 11k per lair, and I can do the missions super fast.

Mind you, there are many other mobs that give much more xp, but I have yet to find another mob that gives this much xp while being so easy to kill. Humbaba's for example take me 3x longer to kill for about the same xp.

Anyone else have mobs that they really like to kill during the Brawler and young Fencer stage?

Dire Cats on Correlia. I bought a good Gaffe, take two 2k missions in the same direction, 2 hits per Dire Cat (997k xp), one hit per female(300k), 1k xpper lair and the occasional Feral Dire Cat (3 hits, 1k xp). Also great xp for leveling Ranger.

If you are only getting 900ish per Dire Cat, you don't have your pet grouped with you. Group the pet to bump it up to 1246xp.

I was getting really excited there, until I started to think (you said 997k xp which would be 997000 xp but u know thats just a little unrealistic) I like dath, and grinding there (I'm a 0111 fencer)) Doc buffs are useful, but if you get em ditch ur armor usually, just get in the way of the ham costs.
