Thread: Question about earning xp (Search feature wasnt working)

I have been away from the game since before the combat upgrade. I come back to see how the CU is doing and find out that everything i kill only gives me 1 point of exp. and i can no longer kill the higher level creatures on my own so how am i supposed to earn xp without out playing 24 hours a day every day.
Again sorry about the post if this has been asked and answered i couldn't get the forum search to work.

Best thing to do would be to get a group on dantooine, regardless of level. It is a b.itch to get a group though if you are lvl30 or less.

look for a group with at least 1 or 2 level 80s, 1 or 2 70s, and 3 or 4 under that, and hunt now lower than level 80 piket and bols on dant
works a charm for me on intrepid, i want from 0201 marksman to 0032 BH in about4hours all together (but the time flies, trust me)
and its especially good now with all the piket overspawns
oh, and dont forget to get inspiration buffed

Yeah the EXP you gain from MOBS drops by 10% for every lvl you are above them, and vice versa for gaining exp (of course there is also a dmg modifier that works the same way) So you want to hunt MOBs your lvl or right around your level to gain normal exp. Or join a group with someone who is lvl 80 (you then "become" lvl 80 in that group and gain normal exp from lvl 80 MOBs.

yeah, the search on the forum is a real bummer. works 1 in 3720 times.
the answer is to group. group with high level players and do high level missions with them. get in just one hit per critter and if your team is tough and ripping through them you can gain xp fast. one hit, target, one hit, target, one hit, max xp per critter for each one you landed one hit to.

You don't actually have to group. I came back recently as a TKM/Pikes and had the same problem as you did. When I learned how to differentiate between the CL's of creatures and myself it just became an exercise in finding a planet which stocked CL 70 mobs. That happened to be Dathomir and there is plenty of hunting around there. I can chain certain blues and do yellows one after the other with a short break in between as long as I do my CoB macro and monitor food and Bacta shots and have good BE'd clothing. I'm making as much XP as before, just slightly slower. I likethe CUbetter personally, seems a lot more 'realistic', if you will, than pre-CU.
