Thread: My stun baton doesn't damage nests

When I was levelling fencer on Endor, I used my stun baton most of the time because it went right through most any armor. However, whenever I tried to hit a nest with my baton, it did not damage it. The combat spam stated I was hitting the nest, but the actual hitpoints on the nest never dropped. I had to switch to my curved sword every time to hit the nest.

Is this a known bug? I searched the forum but couldn't find any mentions of it. Perhaps nests have 100% stun protection? Although minor, it was something that surprised me, and it took me awhile to figure out what was going on.

Not really a bug....

Stun damage is just that - stun. Assuming for a moment that stun damage has the real-world-equivalent of a taser, how do you stun a building? or a cave? or a tent?

I think it's just fine - and it's not a big deal to switch to something else when killing a nest. You'll do more damage with your vibroblade (for less HAM if you're specialling the nest too).

i knew that point about not being able to stun a building would eventually come up. but how come you do damage to at st and droids? mind you, there is a damage type electricity so, i would doubt the damage comes from the electrical. as well as at-st and combat droids would probably have shielding against anything small handheld. so i would assume that at least some damage should be done as you are forcefully hitting something with a blunt object...
but oh well, kinda pointless, as yeah, it is just easier to switch weapons.

Ok, let's take this to Scifi then. Whenever you see anyone on Star Trek with phasers set to stun, if they miss and it hits a wall behind their target, nothing happens to the wall. If it's set to KILL, there are usually burn marks on the wall (and sparks).
