does the dodge mod gained in the fencer tree work when you dont have a 1h weapon equipped? Say i was using a rifle, would i still have a chance at dodging?

the reason you cant use it with other wepons that one handed weapons is because its a skill that you learned in the fencer tree and not any other proffesion tree so all bonuses go to zero if you dont have any dodge in any other wepon type and i think its because some dumb rule

Not true.Dodge will work for pistols. I have 0, I mean 0 in dodge for pistoleer and am a master fencer I dodge all the time when I have a pistol equiped. However it will not work with any other weapon other then pistol or one hand.
