i wanna learn how ppl figure out how much dmg they will do around.. say im fighting somenoe with 90% base 30% stun armor... and capped melee defense.. how much dmg would i do with a 215min 365max dmg sb?
An example. Assume melee mitigation 3, so max dmg is of no concern. 215 damage X innate 1.5 dmg multiplier for every attack X 5x dmg multiplier for your special. Your base damage is 1612.5. PVP dmg reduction of 75% makes your dmg 403. Multiply that by .6 to account for 40% stun armor and you are at 241 damage. Multiply that by .5 for a standard 50% stun PSG and you are at 120. Multiply that by .55 to account for 45% synthsteak and you are at 66 damage per hit.
That is typical damage you will do at the start of a battle against a prepared opponent with your stun baton. You will eventually wear their psg down and hopefully they aren't ready with another and you will eventually wear out their uses on their synthsteak. Your damage would go up to 180 if you calculated your damage the same, but left off the PSG and synthsteak calcs - 241 X .75 with 25% dmg reduction exo-protein wafers and no PSG.
Just pulled that out, but it's a basis for dmg calcs that I'm doing in my head when I see my combat spam. If you know the ranges of what damage you should be doing, you can tell what equipment your opponent has fairly quickly. For me, <100 dmg = psg and synthsteak with melee dmg mitigation 3. 100-150 means either exo-protein wafers instead of synthsteak, or weak psg. >200 = psg, but no melee mitigation 3 or no psg and no dmg reduction foods. This all gets thrown out of whack as soon as you're intimidated, they're stunned, you have other folks hitting you or them while the fight is going on etc, but knowing your dmg helps to guess the outcome of a fight before it even starts.

Well let's see you take the max damage...blah blah, WHIP OUT THE JANTA KNIFE, you can easily read the DOt on your knives. If you in pvp you do what you have to do to win. There is no real way to answer this question, there are to many factors. Foods, PSGs, melee def, mitigation..
