I have Capped melee defense how does this help and what happens to it when I am intimidated?

how does it help? well when u take a hit from a melee weapon/critter you take less damage, and just all around "defend" against it better than most, while intimidated you defenses and what not drop DRASTICALLY some to the point of being useless.
**SIDE NOTE**I do belive though... say you have 150 Melee Def, and the cap is 125 (i belive) and you get hit with an imtimidate say it subracts 100 from your defenses well now a normal person who is just plain old capped is at 25 for defense but you might would be at 50 thus giving u the advantage even though u were both capped and equal prior. I am not sure about this but have pondered it for a while and have been tryin to gather some ppl for testing.

Melee defense does not reduce damage, it is used to calculate whether you get hit or not.
When a melee attack misses you it isbecause ofyour melee defense. When you "evade" itis due to dodge. If you are hit and take damage, the damage is reduced by melee damage mitigation.
